Story wise, would they have been recruited shortly after Kaos was defeated the first time?

None of their backstories mention when they were recruited, but Sprocket's bio hints that she was recruited before Kaos was defeated and sent to Earth.

All of the Giants (Elder Elementals) were recruited 10,000 years ago but were sacrificed or something, and have come back. So yeah. 10,000 years ago. Not sure if the new Skylanders were in the video where they battle the Arkeyans, though.

i wish the creators or the bio-writers would have specified what kind of a sacrifice would require you beaming yourself to central africa?
and i think skylanders are like a band of rag-tag warriors who seek refuge or are special champions who are recruited when needed. normally outsiders, so im thinking eon/portal-prentess recruited the new skylanders in fear of kaos returning.

Seems to me that for the majority of Skylanders, they've been effected by Kaos so they stood at arms and all kind of got together to stop him, under the leadership of Eon. It's hard to say canonically what they were doing during the events of the last game since it sounds like most of them were recruited before the destruction of the Core of Light.

The Giants at least we know were sent to Earth long before the events of the first game, but that unfortunately doesn't explain away what the 8 Newlanders were doing. (maybe...they were sort of doing their own little thing in the background? i dunno)

Weren't there supposed to be many Sklyanders to begin with (the original's opening)? The battle with Khaos sent them all away, so are these guys really new or are they

What I want to know is who recruited the Giants, and I know I'm looking to hard into it, but Chapter 1... why would I be able to use any of the skylanders from 10,000 years ahead of the time unless Eon made them time travel.
And if they can time travel, why can't they go back before let's say Kaos destroy the device and Eon's body along with it or something?

I feel like the Giants just sorta came together and began the whole thing...like without a portal master.

Also, I feel like Chapter 1 is a story anyways (compared to presnt that is the rest) so it's not like we are actually jumping through time.

you know activision make these skylanders to get your money... so story will never by 100% bullet prof sadly.. better dont think so much about it and just play the game or you can find loopholes bigger than the jupiter and you may go crazy... just saying.

I don't know if there were any Portal Masters when the Giants joined together.

Only Sprocket's bio mentions Kaos's name, but doesn't mention when she became a Skylander before or after Kaos was sent to Earth.

How did they turn to toys?

I'm guessing the new normal-sized Skylanders were banished to Earth the same time Kaos destroyed the Core of Light, and they were recruited before the events of SSA.

What puzzles me is how did all them get sent to Earth in the first place. It made more sense in the Beginning Trailer because almost half of the Skylanders were fighting to protect the Core but, in the Cutscene it was just Spyro, Gill, Trigg, Terrafin, Stump Smash, and Slambam who participated in the battle when the Hydragon destroyed the Core.

To me, the Giants opening cinematic not only made it seem like there are MORE Skylanders than just those in S:SA but also multiple versions of each Skylander (in a nod to the reality) that seem to recall the mission. It was kinda neat.

The 8 new characters had to be recruited before SSA, as the Skylanders chapter books written by Onk Beakman all take place before the first game. And in the second novel, Jet-Vac appears, making it so that the the new Skylanders were all active this whole time. Perhaps no one found them when they were banished to Earth.

So that must have been one epic battle if some 'landers are still on earth.

The Giants ARE the Elder Elementals.

The power of light & darkness has either been retconned OR the light-up action is their power of light (and when the portal's off they are dark HA ).

Or perhaps in a future Skylanders title, they can look into this and find a way to express that myth of Giants having light and darkness.

I just think they were found later, like they were blasted the same time when spyro and the other SSA one did, the SG ones where just found a bit later.
