Shouldn't they have wave 2 by now at least? The only time they had wave 2 was back in early November and that was it. The only thing they were missing was hot head, so I had to order him online. Then on, this GameStop has only been resupplying Wave 1.

It is hard to answer questions like this because there are a lot of possible factors involving distribution. From a temporal perspective the best way to track them is from TFB production. Shortly before the US release of Giants they started sending out wave 2 to fill orders. The started sending out wave 3 just prior to Christmas.

The flaw here is hat the toys do not go directly from TFB to your Gamestop (or any other retailer) they get stored and delayed in the company's warehouse and individual store's backroom. In your case it sounds like it took your store a while to work through its initial stock. Bad timing of restocks could have easily have had the company shipping your store older stock in is warehouse opposed to new figures. At this point I would hope that you are now seeing wave 2 being shipped out. Its hard to predict these things TRU is just starting to work through its stock of wave 5 and 6 from the original game.

Pretty much what ItsJustMe said is correct. That is why some of the rare ones from the first game are starting to pop up. Matteomax found a clear stealth elf last week at a TRU.

What it boils down too is, between overstock of wave 1, laziness of employees to rotate stock so it will sell and TFB and Acti it is just a crap shoot anyways.

One thing you will probably never find at a gamestop is a variant as it appears they open these and will sell them on-line in a package kind of deal.

They almost always have something in the back storage, but most employees are either too busy or lazy to check.

That same ToysRUs had NOTHING but W1 (LightCore and S2 only) Giants boxes and W6 Spyro's Adv. boxes.

Id saymy experience was nothing like yours.....Gamestop is the 1st place I saw Series 2 and to this day it's where I see most of my local Series 2 stock. Must be a regional thing.

Today I actually saw like 4 S2 Eruptors at one.

It does depend on the store. Also, if you are in a bigger city (IE Chicago, New York, LA) where your store turns a lot more figures out the door, they will get preference over stores in smaller towns.

Gamestop has grown into some smaller towns in the last year or two, which is good but they don't turn as much business as stores in bigger cities and will more than likely get less stock of things and take longer to turn it out the door. The same thing goes for TRU, minus the growing into smaller cities, bigger store=more business=more chance to get new stuff in.

My gamestop told me they opened these gamestop kids kiosks for christmas and they got all the skylanders instead of the regular stores. They hope to get the new ones soon now thatbthe holidays are over.
