Do you think that either with this game or the next that Spyro will be one of the series like Zelda, Halo, Final Fantasy, and such?

It will NEVER get to the same level as Zelda. But frankly, I don't care as I've rarely ever taken interest with Zelda beyond the N64 titles. Just appreciate the franchise as it is - it's already big with the money it's earning for Sierra as of now

well spyro is one of the most well known video game character. and one of the first 3D ones

i doubt it if this is the last game they say it is :S

I don't think so.Spyro just isn't that famous anymore;mentioning it on a non-Spyro site will have people saying that they've only played the original games and that they don't care about the new ones.

Shame that no one likes the newer Spyro games. Sure they don't have the originality of the older games, but that doesn't mean they're bad! These new games are good in their own way!

Yeah, they're used to the old Spyro and wants to stick with the past, complaining about how Spyro looks and how they like the old games better. They're the ones missing out all the awesome storylines. For those who like the TLoS series, there will be more games in the future.

If there wasn't a TLoS series, then Cynder wouldn't exist, Ignitus and the Guardians, and especially the Dark Master.

If the reboot hadn't happened, the series would've died with SL, and no one would've wanted that except the Insomniac fanboys/girls that have nothing to be content about with T.L.o.S.
I know there's gonna be more, they've said that on Sierra .

I've already grown used to Spyro's new look and the TLoS series, and I've never complained about it when I first saw the trailer for ANB. I'm sticking with Spyro till the very end, no matter what the TLoS haters say or how his looks have changed.

people who say they should have stuck with insomatic are kinda weird because if they did it would be incedibley boring. have you seen how similer the insomatic games are? sure ANB and TEn are very similer but its changing now.

I'm agreeing with all the previous posts!:D Everyone keeps on calling the TLoS series bad because they keep on comparing them to the originals.How about by themselves?I guess people get too angry with TLoS to just judge them by themselves.:\

I've been trying to keep my interest in Spyro,but it's hard when you've been getting into other franchices.Maybe DotD will regain most of my interest.:]

Agreed!Spyro will never go back to the original ways;get used to how it is now,or just don't get any new Spyro games at all.

I don't take much consideration when it comes to graphics, i mainly play for the storyline and adventure, and of all the Spyro games i've played the TLoS series has had much better storyline and adventure AND graphics.

I don't like the black and white vibes I'm getting here. A big thing from the old games I miss is the platforming action. It wasn't too hard nor too easy. It was just right. I find the aforementioned mentality to be very snobbish. After all, we're not oenologists here. We all like Spyro and should accept all the compliments and critiques of the new series.

In short, there is room for vast improvement in the new games. Hopefully the voice of those who long for the games of the past will reach the developers and they'll look at new ideas and gameplay mechanics for future Spyro titles.

Oh so you want to stay in the past and miss out on all the adventure TLoS will give us too? Staying in the past with Insominac Spyro won't get you nowhere. We all know they won't get him back, they've ran out of ideas. Those who want to stick with the old Spyro should get let him go and play future Spyro games.

Aura24 has got piont, when i look at Bromtherider i see Cloud from final fantasy.

Adventure is subjective. I'm not arguing that the storyline is better. The fact that there is a storyline is an improvement, but its about the only improvement. When you remove the glitz and glamour of the Elders, they're really no different than the elders of the old games. And the Dark Master has been MIA until the trilogy's conclusion. I wonder if Insomniac ever considered making Spyro a bipedal dragon? That would've opened a number of avenues for weaponry, like swords and steampunk-esque guns.

Spyro will be forever a four-legged dragon. If he was bipedal, then he would use weapons and we DON'T want that. It could ruin the entire franchise!

Spyro's a DRAGON, not a humanoid warrior. Dragons main weapons are only breathing fire, wings for flight, and magic.

Red was bipedal and he was a dragon. He doesn't have to be humanoid. He can retain his dragony features but simply walk on two legs. Dragons need more variety than simply fire. If a dragon living in a taiga used fire chasing his/her prey or fighting a predatory, he/she would more likely than not torch their home. The type of breath should be subjective to the dragon's environment: fire for desert dragons, poison for forest/mountain dragons, ice for water/arctic dragons, etc. Magic seems like a copout half the time. I prefer to think of it as a tool rather than a weapon.

i don't give a flodoodle about Jak, but Aura24 is right and this could B me but i think Aura24 is trying 2 say that weapons r bad and we r both OK that the only weapons Spyro sould use only and 4ever his breath, claws, teeth, wings and tail. human weapons just ruins the nature of what Spyro is.

Does it even matter?? Spyro uses fire and probably other elemental breaths. He's a purple dragon, so get it through your head and stop saying that he might be humanoid. It would definitely ruin the Spyro series and more people will hate him.

I am surprised at most of you. Are you guys forgetting that Spyro stood up on two legs in STD?

Even though it looks like I am surporting Spyro to be more humanoid I think that is balony. The farthest I think Spyro would ever get to being humanoid in the future is that he would ocasionaly stand on two legs. I can't imagine the cute purple dragon carrying a gun and dark mysterious shades. To me it is disturbing.

Yes, I know that, and I know that he will also dance! But, anyway I would have thought that Sierra would have made him stand on his back legs in the first title of the reboot, then later in the series.

I know the Elders and adult dragons stood on two legs, but the younger dragons stood all fours remember? They can stand on their hind legs for a little while, but not forever.

If he was a human, then he would use weapons and not what dragons use for battle and combat: Fire, wings for flight, and magic. We definitely don't want another human-related game with Spyro as a human, it could kill Spyro the Dragon series.
