well i buyed ( or something) the first upgrade of shroombooms barrier boost path but when I shoot a mushroom at the ring, they don't explode. Is this normal?

You have to get the 3rd upgrade so you can burrow, then touch the ring when you are underground,then it will explode.

To shoot the rings, you need the second upgrade. The ring gets bigger so that the mushrooms are closer and it sets off the chain reaction. With the third, you also can set it off from underground.
