Any tips for this achievement? It's bugging the crap out of me. On an achievement website it says you just have to shoot down the big copters to get it, however at one point in the first or second part (I can't remember) when one comes on the screen your robot instantly turns for you to punch the guys on the wall and you miss it. Can you stop your robot from turning, or is there somebody here that has a video showing them doing the achievement and when you get it?

I've tried that and I get the first shot off and he turns. That's why I was hoping maybe somebody had a video of them doing the achievement. I've read the tech element is the best to use since they fire the fastest and I've been doing that, but still no dice.

Use an air skylander as they do a triple shot so it makes it easier

Dark's walkthrough of the level looks like it might help you out a bit.

I didn't take a video, sorry. I had trouble with this Achievement, also found not much help online, gave it another shot and I got it, so I'm sharing my findings.

If you played through the whole game, or at least to Chapter 14, Autogyro Adventure, the vehicle you fly in that chapter is what you're hunting for to get this Achievement. If not, they're the red helicopter-like vehicles which usually fly over your shoulder, dropping off little kamikaze vehicles (the ghost calls them "copters") along the way which ram you, then the Autogyro makes a large loop to come back and shoot you. Chances are you've shot all the ones which show THIS behaviour. The little copters don't seem to count, only the "mothership" vehicles.

Here's the ones I got:
Robot Section 1:

  • #1 as soon as you start moving, it comes out of the building. DOES NOT ENGAGE YOU.
  • #2 flies over your shoulder to attack you. Ghost says to "Shoot them instead".
  • #3 after your first generator, appears in the distance, DOES NOT ENGAGE YOU, easy to miss. Shoot high.
  • #4 over your shoulder again as you approach the first dam, the East Dam.

Robot Section 2:

  • #5 soon after you start the second robot section.
  • #6 sneaks in, in the distance, in-between attacking the left side and the right side, easy to miss. DOES NOT ENGAGE YOU. Lifting off from the right side of the bridge that's just before the robot.
  • #7 flies over your right shoulder this time, after the opponent robot, after a bridge.
  • #8 after more sides, approaching the second dam, the West Dam.

Robot Section 3:

  • #9 as you start the third section, DOES NOT ENGAGE YOU, back right corner before you turn left.
  • #10, 11 and 12 fly over your shoulder as you're approaching the arena with the two robots.
  • #13 is just after you defeat the two robots, over your shoulder as usual.
  • #14 and #15 are after the final bridge, as you near the Vault, which is in sight in the distance.

As I destroyed #15 the Achievement popped, so if you don't get it at this point you missed one (or more).

#1, 3, 6 and 9 seem to exist with the express purpose of stopping you from getting this Achievement, since they don't attack you and you have a limited time to get them, so I'd bet they all count (they exist to make this truly an Achievement). I got #1 and 6 last time but had missed 3 and 9 - but no others. #1 is easier to notice because the robot ghost remarks on it "Something must have triggered the auto-defenses". These are likely the ones you missed if you're having trouble with this Achievement.

For all four of these, just know when and where they'll be and shoot high before they show. For the three that are just before a turn, I (barely) saw the money pop before the robot turned.

I took these tips I read:
1) I used a Tech - Drobot - as they fire faster. Air fires a triple shot, but there's a big gap between volleys.
2) If I missed one in Section 1, I restarted. Section 2 and 3, I let the robots beat me. (It didn't come up in Section 3, but that was the plan).

Are these achievements in the WII version of the game?

Achievements are an XBox 360-specific thing... PS3 responded by introducing Trophies (which seem to be the same Achievements but on the PS3). Last I knew, the Wii doesn't have anything like this.
