Pick 3 skylanders, only 3, from any of the 2 games and pick ONE upgrade that you would change, please provide a reason why.

Chill ~ Imperial Armour, I cant stand it, she looked so cool <(Ha) before it, (This is the reason L-LC Chill wont receive all upgrades) and I would switch it for a kind of Jumping attack, like a Dragon Knight from Final Fantasy, jump high and throw a javelin down and cause an ice shockwave.

Camo ~ The Melon Fortress (Or whatever) The reason being, you hide inside of it, you pretty already do and I think it was kind of a disappointment, and I would replace it with like a Melon that explodes (I know, he would be Overpowered) But this would be simillar to Zook's Mortar attack.

Shroomboom ~ The ability to shoot Paratroopers down faster, doesn't seem to make that much of a speed impact. I would change it with an abiity to shoot just 3 exploding mushrooms, like Chills Triple javelin skill.


What are your thoughts?

I'd just make it so Sprocket's tank defended her against about 100~ HP before exploding. The explosion could even damage her a little (25 sound good?) but it should afford some protection instead of making you into a sitting duck.

Sprockets upgrade for the auto turrets and tanks to explode when they expire-They do that anyway.

Vaporized enemies turn into exploding plant pods.
Is rubbish the explosion is too small

Change 's paratrooper ability to something better because they are useless in my opinion.

Eruptor's Maga Balls - They move way too slow and tend to roll around wherever they want, if they even roll at all. I'd like them to behave more like Stump Smash's acorns. Maybe have them explode or melt into a lava puddle or something.

Sunburn's Phoenix Dash - While I see flight as a "waste" of an upgrade for most of the dragon characters, it'd actually benefit Sunburn more than the others. Being able to fly while using his charged flamethrower would help his blaze Dragon path immensely.

Terrafin's mini sharks - I've never been a fan of this ability. Maybe replace it with a close-range bite à la Mike Tyson lol.

Eruptor- soul gem : you can spot 3 magma balls at the same time! Instead you can have 3 magma basks active at once

i hate the upgrade that lets stump smash roll his meganut. it is pointless, he can push it! he should have had an upgrade for the dmg of his meat tenderizers.

I would change Stealth Elfs Wow Pow. It doesn't have to do more damage or anything like that. It just needs to be something different. Say give her some more defense. I don't know. Her Wow Pow is just plain dumb, I think.

yeah, it is. she needed a good attack, like she could do dmg when she is "stealthing" or something.

The only time I think it would help out at all is when she is being attacked by a bunch of chompies.

her wowpow is good in story, in pvp it is suicide. i also read it wrong. i thought you said her soul gem stunk.

i luv the fire breath. shame you cant move, though.

Stump Smashes soul gem. I hardly used it in S:SA, never use it now. Only level with water is Pirate Seas now. He needs something their that makes him more versatile. Maybe something long ranged?

Boomer Soul Gem. Extremely hard to kick. Even if you get at the right angle, the bomb explodes before you kick it.

I would change this, along with:
Gill Grunt Soul Gem, Gill Grunt is useless, Soul Gem is useless, give him a Soul Gem that makes him not be useless anymore!!!

IMO, Tree Rex's Pod Maker, It's useless and makes it hard to continuously use the Treefolk Triple Shot with that ability

Dino Rang's Stonefist Trap thing....I was never able to use it correctly in Giants OR SSA.... He should have just been given some sort of distraction move like Stealth Elf's clone or Stump Smash's nuts.....Something to distract enemies.....

Hot Dog's Pyro Pinwheel.....I think I'll find it somewhat hard to use due to it extending the time of the Comet Slam.....

I've found a way to use it effectively, but it requires some timing. As you know, Stealth Elf (both paths) has an A+A+A combo, and it's very easy to use. However, it's also possible to substitute the Wow Pow for the ending of Combo A if you time your button presses correctly. Press A thrice in rapid succession and hold on the third press--she'll use her Wow Pow with about the same delay as Combo A, and in my opinion, it's a way better move than the linear and time-consuming Combo A for dealing damage.

Sprocket is the first skylander that came to mind for me also. I'm really disappointed with the tank ability.

I was thinking extra armor would be nice while in tank form to offset the lack of mobility. A speed boost would work also but the controls can be a little wonky so I'd prefer the armor. As it stands the tank is too one dimensional and too susceptible to enemy attacks for me to regularly use it.

I'd probably change Slam Bam's soul gem, to something that's more useful. He has the same problem as Stump Smash, there isn't water anywhere in Giants. Other than that, it's just a cosmetic upgrade to goggles that you may or may not want. And personally, I don't want them.

It's definitely one I skipped with L-Slam Bam, despite having the Gold for it.

Double trouble's soul gem= most worthless upgrade in history

Sunburns Pheonix flight thing were he "flys" for three seconds while on fire. I would trade that for actual flight

And Ths upgradw for where he bites in charge mode its soo annoying instead of completly.plowing through a thing of chompies he has to stop and bite each one while the other ones bite me

Definitely I would chose Dubb Trubb's Soul Gem.

Even worse than Double Trouble's Soul Gem, Slam Bam's Soul Gem! The WORST way to waste an upgrade....

1. Flight for all of the dragon characters, give me something better than flying.

Cynder's Wow Pow. Give it a bigger hitbox!! This move is supposed to clear out swarms, but it fails so hard!

Flameslinger should be able to leave a trail of fire when he shoots an arrow, not just where it lands

Though that would be broken on so many levels in PvP

I would have changed 's soul gem for an even better upgrade something to create ghosts like Cynder so the Skull Charge path can have more purpose in pvp since that's my favorite path.

^ That would make Ghost Roaster WAY too overpowered.

I know why does Double Trouble, Drobot and even Stealth Elf get to be popular while poor is tossed aside for the others? That's all I'm saying and I do wish he gets better.

Probably because of his dark appearance, parents probably wouldn't have let their kids buy something that looks so evil. It's not that he wasn't popular, but because he didn't sell as well as the other Undead ones.

But overall, if he were able to summon ghosts he would also be overpowered, though I would rather have bye-bye Hex instead of him. He was powerful enough already, and so is Stealth Elf (I'm kinda glad her wow pow isn't as effective as many of the others, she would be overpowered if it was too effective).

Exactly I like Hex, but let's be honest who's more fun from beginning to end? Ghost Roaster of course and Hex also has a really redundant story only because of the fact that she was also an ally of Malefor just like Cynder and we never see her until Skylanders. All I can think of is how that's the biggest coincidence I ever heard of what's next we get a Skylander that was originally a minion of Ripto that fights Spyro, but in the end, realizes how tough and honorable he is and joins the Skylanders for his merciful compassion which by the way actually would be an interesting character. Also Hex has that same problem too she looks so evil, that the other Skylanders even think she might want to betray them some day and who could blame them.

Ghost Roaster used to be one of the best Undead guys, but Fright Rider now took the honor in my book; definitely a suitable replacement (though I'd rather remove Hex, my least favorite Undead one. She's good, but the other's are better, even Chop Chop).

Series 2 Chop Chop and Cynder come close though. Pretty much the whole undead Element is banging, except for Hex... She's just average.

The only thing that makes Hex bad is that she is literally the slowest of them all and takes too many hits. It's sad to even think that a giant like the amazing is faster than her and far more exciting. I try not to be mean to her since she and were my first skylanders, but I really hated her when I first played her unfortunately. At first I wasn't impressed by since his design was slightly boring, but he is surprisingly fast, strong and versatile. I want back because he felt like the best example of what Undead Skylanders should look like and that he is the best Undead from the first game at the start.

Everyone just loves and so much, both are good but overrated.

I couldn't agree more with Stump Smash and Gill Grunt. I like Slam Bam, but I personally found him a little bit boring. He starts slow and there isn't much versatility to him all you mainly do is just punch everyone. Stump Smash is good, but a bit slow at least the power he has is quite impressive. Gill Grunt is very versatile with the Water Weaver path and I love his jetpack. Sprocket's alright, but she's very slow and takes too many hits. Don't forget Drill Sergeant, Zook, Voodood, Wham Shell and Swarm everyone seems to hate him for some reason. The problem with Prism Break is that he is definitely not for beginners since he can be difficult to use and he needs so much accuracy.

I think the game lost more money thanks to Ghost Roaster alone. They eliminated him for a reason.

Stump Smash's Soul Gem should be gone forever! Give me something better that works in ALL levels and PvP, like a squirrel sidekick that helps toss acorns. Same with Slam Bam, Double Trouble, and Zap's Soul Gem's; NO water level soul gems plz.

Ok I get that you mean all the darklight crypt packs sitting on shelves, but don't forget about the overstock of Boomer, Wrecking Ball, Drobot, Hex, Drill Sergeant and Chop Chop. You know there was a time I asked someone to check the back for Wham Shell and I swear the box had literally nothing but Boomer and Wrecking Ball. That was the worst box I've ever seen in my life who wants to find nothing but those 2?

I'd add in an Armor Upgrade for either Path to Chop Chop, or change his (X) (X) (O) combo to creating a shockwave of bones instead of just performing the same move faster. Or maybe make the Bonebrambles drain 1-3 health with each hit on the enemy. Basically any upgrade to Chop Chop that doesn't favor the Shield Path only...

There are quite a few upgrades that actually can be looked at in some way as a nerf. The extra range on Trigger Happy's golden pot throw upgrade makes it hit farther which is great, but the thing is: the attack only hits a certain area...so it does add to an area where he CANNOT hit.

First thing I thought of: Ignitor.

It might have made him overpowered, but I think that his armor should explode into fire or something while he's in his fire soul. It would make him less vulnerable.
