So, we (my brother and I) got Skylanders: Giants about 2 weeks ago. At christmas, we got a LOT of new figurines, and amongst them was Flashwing (who is really really awesome). I plonked Flashwing, at this point named Scorpiagoness, onto the wired portal of power. The first day went smoothly. The second day (today), I started experiencing hiccups in the Portal's saving system. We tried Scorpiagoness on the arenas, she beat them with 3 level increase and bunchoodles of upgrades. Then I started to play Wilkin Village. I take off Scorpiagoness, and put on Hot Head to throw a boulder. I switch back to Scorpiagoness, and boom. Level 4, without any of the upgrades I purchased. This was about 3 hour-ish ago. She still is at the same progress, and has only saved once to buy 1 upgrade and a little exp.

We tried other figures, Series 2 and Series 1. Nothing saves, on either of our saves. We can't use the old portal, because the old portal also got corrupted.

Help!

I would call Activision, they can send you a new portal in this case. It will mean a little downtime but it beats shelling out 75 bucks for a new starter pack. Or you can try ebay to see if you can find a cheap on there.

I have one tip for ya dude. If its around a tv box it can interfere.(I know because it happened to me in spyro's adventure

Yokey, how do you suggest I fix it? It's on a dresser, next to the Wii console, and the television is right above it. It's setup is 3 feet away from a closet with a few printers and a WiFi box.

You could try and move it. I would think that you will probably have to call activision.

I also had a glitchy portal problem, but it was a one time thing. When I got my three new LightCore Eruptor, Jet-Vac, and Drobot, they wouldn't work with my 3ds portal, and it was my new one specifically, and it would work with all of my other figures but those three! But the day after it worked like a charm and worked with them.

Sell the portal on ebay!!! No, lol, dont do that. Just call acti.

I have the new and old portal and the NEW portal does that but when you use the OLD portal it works normaly so if you have the old portal you should use it and everything should be fine

Sorry to hear about your portal especially after a few days after Christmas. This is most likely caused by the portal of power and having the portal in close proximity to other electronics may interfere with saving progressions and Skylander registration. Its might be the Characters defecting, They do save on the figurine
