(Nice idea, but I like the spyro ones we have, so I'm fine with just those, but it'd be awesome to hve custom ones)

Not saying that I wouldn't like to have my own way to personalize it, but that you shouldn't treat the Forum as a Social Network.

Allowing a bit of customization wouldn't be treating the site as a social network, just because Facebook uses it doesn't automatically label the idea as treating a forum like a social network. Another customizing option is to have site themes that you can select, like for example on the cave of dragonflies- http://www.dragonflycave.com/.

I'm okay with it. I was merely stating that it was similar. Perhaps that would make it easier to implement since there's an existing template (sort of)? <.<;

I honestly see no benefit to having custom header images. It's fine the way it is imo.
