All the little kiddies have Skylanders Giants now... And the amount of people looking for figures has doubled...

ANYWAYS, this is a topic to see if Skylanders stock has decreased or not, and if Activision keeps its promise...

IT HAS DECREASED, sorta.

Have not seen a store wiped out of stock yet this year, but TRU and Target sales have helped move more off the pegs in the recent weeks it seems.

Nah, there are plenty of Skylanders figures at pretty much every store you go to now. You can go to a convenience store and there'll be Skylanders there, lol. They'll be in stock but they're sort of random. Some stores may only have Wave 1 Giants, some stores might only have Wave 2 Spyro's Adventure. So if you're looking for a certain Skylander, you might not find it (most of the time).

Stores aren't open yet. Tomorrow, the rush begins. We can predict nothing based on what they had yesterday.

It's not my cup of tea and it's far more money than I'm willing to spend. Completing the game with the starter pack is certainly doable, but it is seriously frustrating. A game that makes you pay for extra lives just isn't going to earn my money. <.<;

Well... yes and no. I think it would be neat, but I'm content with some of the Ratchet & Clank games because the more exploration-heavy ones (Going Commando & A Crack in Time) feel like spiritual successors to Spyro... just with whacky weapons. <.<

There is 1 S2 terrafin left at my KMart! Got it for free!

I remember when i got SSA for Christmas and we went to TRU and it was packed at the skylanders bit.

The two I truly want are the 2 I can't find for weeks.
Series 2 Stealth Elf (the only Series 2 I want) and the Legendary of it (I would like the other 4 Legendaries too if I can get them).

I got Skylanders : Giants for free cause of a shipping error.
I think I'm the lucky one.

I had just got my favorite Lightning Rod for free. I got it in a shipping error in which I got both L-Stealth Elf and it by accident when I just ordered Regular Stealth Elf.

I checked my Wal-Mart tonight. The selection of skylanders was nothing. They have been wiped out.

The stock around here is holding pretty steady the only place that was slim pickings was TRU most likely because of the BOGO 40% off. The three gamestops I went too pretty much had everything except LC Shroomboom and Hot Head.

GameStop was filled to the brim with swarm.

The TRU that we shop at had so much stuff today that it was in 3 sections of the store. The even had bins filled with both Giants, regular giant skylanders and series 1 skylanders. My son and I spent time going through everything to find any variants but no such luck. They had a ton of Wham Shells, which we have not seen in the stores before. The did not however have any Hot Hands or LC Shroomboom. Everything else they had from Giants. It almost seems as though they emptied out their stock room and found a bunch of boxes shoved in a corner or something.

So BOGO 40% at TRU? Right...not news.

I wasn't originally scheduled to pull an overnight last night but alas I did.
So the way I've merchandised the store is a 16 Foot section For Skylanders Giants in Rzone ((-4 feet...it's really 12 with the last four feet being all the random crud like back-packs and such)) and a 12 foot section in the "seasonal" area with all of the S:SA.
Now this isn't how TRU wants it set up - but it makes it so much easier to identify sales when they're for specific series...

Anyway that was a bit of a limb there but back on track...

The 16-foot section was FULL Christmas Night ((25th)) when we were doing out store recovery.
Went in last night ((26th into the morning of the 27th)) and dear god - the Skylanders Giants area had been ransacked - just completely barren.

First truck after the "Christmas" season comes in tonight...lets see if TRU planned for this or not >.O

That's my biggest unanswered question right now. How well they planned for the post Christmas rush on figures. I'm pretty certain we will get new figures trickled out from here on out, but the real question mark is whether they will be caught off guard again (my guess is we don't see the last giant until at least March). Will they have to spend a lot of time restocking Wave 1 & 2 or do they have them made and ready to go out the door? In my area last year, that's when they went dry - it was like night and day between 12/24 and 12/26. If they have to "catch up" with demand, it will take longer to see the new stuff come out. If they overestimated demand, stores won't be as quick to order new wave shipments, and the shipments will be much smaller and harder to find.

Well so far they planned incredibly well right up until X-Mas so far. Like scientifically well...
Made sure to keep shelves stocked and I only got "Dangerously" low a couple times ((Once right before W3 launch 'cause I couldn't put them on the shelves yet))

I have two trucks scheduled for this weekend and as of right now they intend to keep the BOGO 40% going through next week.
So here's to hoping I've got something to sell on those trucks - though If I do it'll probably be all W2 - I haven't received ANY W1 boxes in over a month; Put out the last of my W1 boxes this morning which we've had since launch. ((Which were Giants and some 3 packs...ran out of Singles long ago))

What I expect to happen is random W1 boxes from the distribution center to start showing up - that have probably been sitting in a corner somewhere.
Since TRU doesn't track the waves at all my DC could show hundreds and thousands of Skylanders under the same sku and it could be any amalgamation of W1, W2, and W3

That's the thing though. Where I live, it's a very small, crowded town, and I often have to wait a long time to get Skylanders.

Though, my grandparents live in an area in a different state where it's less populated, and there's a gigantic Walmart with a giant display.

Walmarts in my area are hit and miss ((In the immediate vicinity I can access 5...))
One of them is incredibly nice and very well stocked...the others have removed large chunks of their Skylanders display though.

Well...our truck schedule was off and it never came in...

What I can note however is our shipping manifest shows ONE box of Skylander singles coming.
So unless our second truck ((Coming the day after)) it based off the day after Christmas then this is a pretty sad "Replenishment" as I was almost entirely out of Giants singles when we closed last night...

^ Yeah, things are getting bad again. Walmart just had a couple glow Sonic Booms and the usual LightCores, with a sprinkling of triple packs. BestBuy was doing even worse, because who doesn't get a BestBuy gift card for Christmas anyway? The only place I saw fair supply during my standard running around for non-Skylanders stuff yesterday was GameStop, where S2 Rod and Eruptor were still sitting on the shelves amid ample W1 and W2 figures.

LOL i remember. christmas eve, i was going to TRU and when i went to A skylanders section (3 of them) i saw skylanders on the floor kids digging throught the shelves. they had a LARGE amount. they probs knew that it would be "cray cray" there and there it was.... were my eyes decieving me? I SAW A WHAMSHELL IN A SINGLE PACK! on the top row and at the very back, clever TRU employee whos trying to buy that for ebay/his or her kid/thereself/exc. funny, i only found s.2. & tops.............................................. i would say atleast 500 - 600 people were there but still every damn skylanders were on the floor increased 4 now but will decreased like next month and your right about the thing about double the skylander hunting
