When I was in tru yesterday, I noticed that the new wave 3 figures were in a special rack, it said on a piece of paper: "skylanders giants new figures, $10.99, limit 2 per customer!"
I was happy to see that they are finally doing something about them Christmas Scalpers, but I may have bought a few more if I had enough money, the limit probably saved my series 2 prism break from going home with someone else, as he was the last one in the store, I was lucky!

When they released wave 2 they had that sign on the front door of my TRU. However, by the time I got to them they were all gone.

To be honest, even scalpers should be a little wary of buying anything outside of giants. No one really wants the S2, and LCs seem to be shelf warming from what I've seen.

I'm not so sure if it's no one "wants" S2, I think it's more of TFB and Activision having a better stock this year. I know Hot Head was hard to find, but other than that everything seems to well in stock.

I think so far they deserve a thumbs up for keeping stock in better supply this year. We will see what happens after Christmas.

Yeah, TFB is doing super this time, when it comes to supply. However, they do need to keep Giants like Hot Head stocked better. Everything else is very well stocked, and I am happy to see people being able to find what they want 2 days before Christmas.

I wonder if Hot Head fell victim to the Frito Lay promotion and that is why we didn't see him stocked.

I think it's because Giants still come 6 to a box. Had TFB done 12 to a box for Giants, with 3 Giants in each box, there could have been 4 Hot Head's in each box. Would have broke down like this -

Wave 1: 4 Crusher, 4 Bouncer, 4 Swarm
Wave 2: 4 Hot Head, 4 Bouncer, 4 Swarm
Wave 3: 4 Thumpback, 4 Hot Head, 4 Bouncer
Wave 4: 4 Ninjini, 4 Eye-Brawl, 4 Thumpback

Giants wouldn't be hard to find at all under that configuration.

However, let's say GSW3 (ie Giants assortment boxes) contain 2 new Giants, it could have been this -

Wave 1: same as above
Wave 2: same as above
Wave 3: 4 Thumpback, 4 Eye-Brawl, 4 Hot Head
Wave 4: 4 Ninjini, 4 Eye-Brawl, 4 Thumpback

But, at it's configuration of 6, it means Giants will be harder to find, and I anticipate each carton of GSW3 to conain -

Wave 1: 2 Crusher, 2 Bouncer, 2 Swarm
Wave 2: 2 Hot Head, 2 Bouncer, 2 Swarm
Wave 3: 2 Thumpback, 2 Hot Head, 2 Bouncer or Swarm
Wave 4: 2 Ninjini, 2 Eye-Brawl, 2 Thumpback

OR...

Wave 1: same as above
Wave 2: same as above
Wave 3: 2 Thumpback, 2 Eye-Brawl, 2 Hot Head
Wave 4: 2 Ninjini, 2 Thumpback, 2 Eye-Brawl

No matter what, though, Giants are going to be tougher to find, due to the assortments still being 6 instead of 12.
