Since the team is working hard on Dawn of the Dragon as well as a movie being in the works, do you think Sierra will give Spyro a one year break or maybe release a DS or spin-off game in 2009?

Id think a year break caz thats wat they usaly do after each trilogy for console they will probley make a DS or GBA in 2009 though

They could, I guess, but as far as I know the only part they have in the movie is checking over the script and providing the game to base it on in the first place.
But I think they mentioned something about continuing the yearly releases. Can't remember though.

Still, I don't think we'll be seeing a fourth Legend of Spyro until 2010. I just think it's best for the series to take a break, because we wouldn't want them to run out of ideas or basically releasing a sequel that isn't much of an improvement over the other.

True...but they could possibly have it all planned out. They planned ANB since the end of AHT/SL didn't they? (I'm a little patchy on the info.)

I think somewhere they said 2005, but I like your opinion better. It's just that it may be alot of work for the voice cast to do both a movie and game in 1-2 years. I wonder if it's possible to release too many sequels like Final Fantasy.

They have worked very hard for us. They need a break. We can't expect anymore from them after that.

Of course they deserve rest. And in my opinion annual releasing hasn't done anything good to any game series I've played. Maybe two or three years of long, hard and accurate work on the next Spyro game would be a great idea?
