I thought the L Chop Chop glitch was not supposed to happen on the Wii. I just killed evil Chop Chop and it didn't register, any help?

It does happen on the wii as I have experienced that problem too.

i just tested out my legendary chop chop and it also did not give me the achievement and it was done on the wii as well

Yeah, i don't know why Wii-users said they were able to do it, unless they accidently foud a workaround.

CAN ANYONE on the Wii confirm with visual evidence that they can achieve the "Beyond a Thread" quest for Legendary Chop Chop.

Not Chop Chop
Not Series 2 Chop Chop

Series 1 Legendary Chop Chop only.

I know I am personally guilty of spreading this rumor. On the initial thread there were three posters that claimed they had gotten the achievement on the Wii. I assumed this meant that particular console was immune. My L Chop Chop is currently in storage so I can't test this myself but I was happy under the assumption when I was ready to I would not have an issue completing his quests.

Glancing through it looked like a few individuals confirmed Wii was L Chop Chop safe. Closer inspection shows the only one to specifically say it was TGrimm

The Wii U version is effected by this also.

did everyone have a update when they first put the game in their system whether it was a xbox360, ps3 or wii

mine did when i first put the game in. not sure what the update was.

i can test it on that system and see if that update had anything to do with it.

does anyone think that maybe the portal has something to do with it. like try it with a 3ds portal? i can try with every optinion given to me and see if something comes through.

So did that ATVIAssist person ever figure out that their testers forgot to check that Legendary Chop Chop is glitched Quest wise?

Seems their testers also forgot to check that Ghost Roaster could complete his Person Quest with all his upgrades and forgot to test every Skylander on the Wii U for the "Gamepad Time Bug".

The Gamepad Time Glitch is a minor glitch, and it doesn't seem to affect anything in the game.

Yeah these glitch topics are like invasive species, they pour into the forums fast. I once had a glitch where Slam bam started sliding on all fours instead of his sleigh, like a neanderthal.

So you know the way that you can now view the time played on each Skylander in Giants? Okay well on the Wii U one of the unique features of that version is you can get your character stats on the Gamepad (and the time played). Sounds good right? Except that often the time is glitched, like so:
^My Gill Grunt has that time on the Gamepad and 30+ hours via the menu.

I do agree it is a minor glitch, but this feature is one of the exclusive Wii U bits and one of the reason for buying this version over the other versions.

This glitch seems to affect Series1 characters and the odd amount of other characters. When I have a few hours spare I will do some more research on this and post my findings, hopefully encouraging other Wii U users to do the same and demand a patch.

A patch? For skylanders? Sounds like wishful thinking. I learned in ssa that if there's a glitch, it's permanently part of the game. It'd be nice I they patche to fix these things but I wouldn't hold my breath.

^Activision patch the "Big" games like CoD, heck even Nintendo made a patch for Mario Kart 7 - Nintendo getting with the times OMG! Obviously nothing will be done if no one complains or if there are too few complainants. We need the people power on this one and keep reminding Activision that the problems are continually popping up on all versions.

i called activision about the issue with legendary chop chop and the guy i talked to said i was the first to complain about it. i even informed him that we have a member on darkspyro.net that is part of activision and directed him to the forum where the activision person posted so i gave him all the info i could and he said it would be escalated higher up so i dont know what the outcome will be. but yes i agree we all need to call them that are having issue with it and let them know about Legendary chop chop and any other character to help them resolve any issues that need to be directed. think about it they cant test every single character through the game that would take to long and it would delay the release of the game. they would have to test all 32 s1 skylanders and do everything for them on giants from level up, upgrades,quests. heroics, and a combination of other things that might confict going down one path to see if it affects the quest or not that would take to long. and have to do it for the giants characters. we are their testing people.

I called a few times last year with ssa glitches. I was just guest lurkin here then but I believe I saw other call an call. I'm pretty sure this is where I got the number. Either way they didn't bother with it then I doubt they will now. I wish they would. I'll call when I run into the problem (waiting for Xmas to get my wii cause my mom thinks I'm 7. Don't ask) since I don't wanna call with second hand info. Here's hoping.

apparently the issue is across all of the platforms. wii, xbox360, and ps3.

to bad they didnt release giants for pc. then if it worked we would be able to finish it so way.

I was upset about the lack of PC release. I don't have a console cause I sold my ps3 since I have an Alienware I figured I didn't need a console. When we got confirmation there would be no PC giants I flipped out. I'm kinda glad now tho cause it gives me an excuse to get the gnarly bundle for Xmas (which is confirmed since I went with my mom cause she oblivious).

I can only test this L-Chop Chop glitch (and other glitches) on my PAL Wii U version when I get to that point in the game. I play the game with my husband and we do a level or two in the evenings, so it might take some time to get to that Chapter.

I only have issues with glitches that prevent game progression (like the L-Chop and Ghost Roaster one), and the few glaringly obvious ones (like the Gamepad one).

i dont supose the ds game would offer a work around since its very differnt then the console games?

The 3DS game doesn't have the Quests (for any character).

I guess no fix yet?
Been slowly (but surely) doing all of my Skylanders quests and thought only Ghost Roaster was the culprit (which I've done after resetting him and never getting the upgrade that breaks him), but now L-Chop Chop...
360 btw.
