How do you get the WowPow ability and do you have to have S:SA to get WowPow

Specifically, flameslinger and TriggerHappy

You buy it as you would any other upgrade: go to Persephone.

And no, SA doesn't have any Wow Pows for anyone.

It's almost always a different attack so I'd say it's worth it. Also gives you something new to discover if you already raised the Skylander as a Series 1

I would suggest getting the S:2 of all of the figures. They are simply better I think.

Consider that the information of the character is ingame not in the figure series 1 should have wow pow aswell

To some extent. The actual information of the characters 3D model, attacks, animations ETC are in the game. The code that says "this figure is x character", "x character has y and z upgrades" and "x character is level n" is in the figures.

All they do is have an extra bit of code on the chip in the figure that says "this is a series 2 character". The game sees this extra code and lets you buy the wow-pow. The code would have to be a separate section that SSA isn't programmed to read so that S2 characters work in SSA.

Basically, the Series 2 characters have a bit of code that the first game sees as, say, "Oh, that's an Ignitor!", but it then has a bit of extra code that SSA doesn't look for that Giants sees, which tells it "Oh, that isn't a regular Ignitor, it's a Series 2! You should let this figure buy a Wow Pow, by the way."

Of course, I am going to look into the figures' save data (i.e. compare a Series 1 to a Series 2) to make sure that's true, but it's safe to assume for now.

I see Wow Pow as a second Soul Gem ability for the Series 2 figures, basically.

Yup, if they are in the S2 pose, they have it, cept for Royal Double Trouble, who is at his S1 pose but is considered S2 in game

I like him. He's an oddball. I'll get RDT from evilbay at some point. Not picking up regular s2 dt since the dorky one counts in game.

You can find some deals on ebay. The problem that I and others have with it is the people who don't play Skylanders will buy the figures and sell them for more than the stores do. Take Hot Head for example, people are still having some issues finding him. Not as much as they did before but when he first came out he was on Ebay for 40+ dollars sometimes.

You would see people that had 3-5 of them up for that amount. That is where most people get the hate for evilbay.
