I have an answer to that popular question everyone has been asking. Why are giants more popular than normal sized characters? Well I'll tell ya. Now while we were in GameStop on Black Friday me and my little sis went with our parents cause we don't have a baby sitter or anything. So my mom had the list and was telling my dad that I wanted..... So obviously I wanted like 15 different sklanders and my dad couldn't remember all the names. So I pointed to the ones I wanted that they had on the little pillar. So I said the robot (Bouncer), the wasp (Swarm), the rock man (Crusher), the scientist (Pop Fizz), the ostrich guy (Fright Rider), the shark (s2 Terrafin), and so on. My dad seemed to remember the giants better because of the larger image left in his head. I'll edit this post come Christmas time and I can guarantee I will get all or almost all of the wave one giants. Larger images are easier to remember. Now I just got into skylanders the day giants came our so bythe looks of my sig I obviously don't have a big collection. Now the smaller Skylanders didn't really stick out like Pop Fizz and Fright Rider, but he did ask my about S2. My dad asked what S2 meant. So I told him the jist of the wow pow and all that fancy buissness and he said you are gonna spend more money on someone you already have just with a different pose? Well at that time I only wanted S2 Trigger Happy and Terrafin. Now I want to get all the S2. The poses just grabbed me as awesome. Though I will still pursue the original 32. So to an adult the giants leave a larger image. S2 are rip-offs and the new characters are meh. My dad really loves the Hot Head I nabbed from BestBuy.com. So that's the question, when your parents are holiday shopping they will be attracted to giants. One final note, you are more likely to find a certain skylander under the tree if your parent likes the skylanders as well. Despite Terrafin being a S2 my dad said: "Do you already have the shark, he looks awesome?" I replied no, and I think he put it in the cart. My parents are good at this toy shopping buissness while I'm there so I never know. I'm just hoping to see that green Xbox bundle under the tree come Christmas. But any skylander to help me achieve that 72/72 Collection is well appricated. My final collection will be 8/8 giants 32/32 original 8/8 new landers and 24/24 S2. mine arent. i took the poster from the internet, and circled the ones i want, xed off the ones i have, or i know im getting, and my mom emailed it to people for my birthday/christmas.

In reply to Wumbo I'm just using mine as an example. If you don't know what your buying and can't remember names obviously the larger ones are easier to remember.

Giants are popular because having giant creatures lumbering around smashing things is what every single little kid on the planet wants. Giants are also a bit more memorable because there's like..what 3 our right now? It's easier for parents to remember a handful of them.

I think on the price front, parents probably think they're getting a better deal. For $5 more, you're getting a much larger character than the normal ones, so it's the impression of getting a good deal that parents probably like.

Yep, giants are totally awesome, especially with full speed heroic challenges done.
