Tempest Yellow Sparx Gems: 1807	#2 Posted: 06:06:19 07/12/2012 If you're talking about the portal that comes with the Spkylanders: Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack, then yes, it works exactly the same as the one that comes in the Giants starter pack.

The only difference between the S:SA and S:G is that the symbols in the S:G portal don't light up but the base lights up as the same colour of the element of the Skylander on the portal. --- YAY! t7gga Yellow Sparx Gems: 1726	#5 Posted: 22:27:08 07/12/2012 remember that giants starter pack portal is wired so no more batteries to purchase. also 2 extra figures in the starter pack. i would be opting to get the starter pack even if it is $15 more, the saving on batteries alone will make it worth it. --- Disney Infinity Fans
