Date isn't a typo. It's a placeholder date. Technically means it could come out any day now or not til the end of February. But this does confirm who's in the pack and that gs will have it.

Actually,when this was brought up earlier, I wasn't able to actually pre-order it from the site. However, now Gamestop is accepting pre-orders as I just finished the pre-order and received a confirmation email. We'll have to see if the 1/1/2013 date stays but the confirmation has that and the appropriate expected delivery date on it as well.

Regardless, just nice to know I have one coming whenever

I was able to order at the store that way don't have to pay for shipping and wait.

There's an ad in another post on this board confirming a January release. In all likelihood, as strange as it sounds, this baby is launching on New Year's Day. If not then, the following Tuesday is almost certain.

Was in gs tonite and the tv came up with an ad for the battle pack and for the first time in my skylanders hunting the employee almost knew something. She tried to get me to preorder, spewing back what the tv had just stated. I told her I wanted I wait to see how they were releasing the molten hot dog variant before I made any decisions. She then went on how preordering saved me the hassle of trying to find it. I then repeated about molten hot dog and she gave me a blank stare and said "that might not exist." I scoffed at her (yes scoffed) and laughed to my wife as I walked out saying "I love how someone who hears a tv ad all day and can repeat it word for word assumes they know anything." Was I rude? Sure. Was fun for me tho and there's another gs inside of the same mall I do my purchasing at anyway. Lol.

It's okay to be rude to a GS employee sometimes. They usually tend to not know what they're talking about.

/\ true i asked them one question '' when do you get your shipments for skylanders'' and he looked at me and said oh i dont really know we just get them when ever and i got mad and left

I really hope it comes out shortly after christmas, then I'll have money and time to use it!

also after christmas figures are probably going to become harder to find, but hopefully not as bad as before!
