I am having trouble with the time challenge for Ch.14: Autogyro Adventure. No matter how fast I go, I can never seem to beat the time. Can anyone help me. Anyone else who is having trouble with time challenges can post about it.

Glad heroic challenges are gone. Imagine doing 165 per skylander. That's 27225 challenges. No thank you. |

I passed with 40 seconds left. The trick is to not stop at any extra places, and shoot as fast as you can. A lot of time is lost during the actual on foot areas, which means you need a very fast character to run through them and get the door keys. As for the end area, you can actually turn the machines on and continue while the little cutscene plays showing it rising up. Use that time to head out to the next area.
As others have said, grab the purple speed bonuses and try to combo them and you'll move faster.

These are for getting three stars. The time is the hardest one to get of the all for most people.

Same, I always want to explore and collect everything, so I do it another time in which I just follow the story.

I have finished all of the time challenges except for one: Empire of Ice. It is not the time that troubles me, but at the end of the level, there is this little bit of health still left on the wall, even after it has been destroyed. Has anyone else had this issue? This has also occurred to me in SSA for Wii, and I have the Wii U version of Giants.

^ I had that problem, but I found out that you have to destroy the very edge, so it is possible.

I've liked Bash for speed challenges. Arguably the easiest-to-control dash move that can also pulverize swarms; can one- or two-shot most larger guys as well.

Try Drill Sargent and spam the secondary attack, if you choose it's path it's the fastest way to go!

Don't worry! This stage stumped me for awhile, too. Embarrassingly enough, I fell short by a single second in two consecutive attempts! Here's a few tips that you can use to try to improve your speed-run:
Memorize the the correct way to solve the pushing block puzzle at the end to save extra time. This is an important one. It's an easy puzzle, but since you're around ten minutes into the stage, it slows your momentum and can become quite frustrating. The pushing physics in Giants are still inconvenient. You may accidentally nudge a pillar while you're running, causing you to reset the entire puzzle. Again, considering that you're already nine-tenths through the stage, one slight screw up could trigger an avalanche of problems. Keep your calm and play intelligently. As suggested above, use a fast character to speed through the rooms with the keys. Knowing exactly where to go at all times is vital. Use a piece of paper to jot down notes about each individual room. Pausing the game will not hurt your time, so be sure to abuse it to plan your next move. It's also noteworthy to add that some of the monsters in the key rooms don't need to be defeated in order to exit the area. One of these monsters is a Crystal Golem, one of the most time-consuming enemies. Do not rush the flying segments! In the long run, collecting every single boost power-up isn't going to shave off enough time to impact your time if you already weren't going to make it. The worst thing that you can do is panic to reach a boost. Hitting the walls at certain angles could trigger an automatic knockout, forcing you to restart at the last copter landing pad. If that happens, you may as well restart the stage. Collect only what you can. After several play-throughs, you ought to have a reasonable idea where most of them are. Trust me, if you follow my advice, this stage will be a piece of CAKE! Even Nightmare Mode is generally easy, once you memorize exactly what to do. |

I have used this character for 6 time challenges, and he works perfectly: Drobot. All you have to do is use his thrusters throughout most of the level. Oh, and thanks weebbby for the tip, I will try it out sometime later today.
I am going to close the topic now because now I have 100% in story mode. I have just got to get the rest of the accolades, all characters to level 15, and find the rest of the Skystones. |
