In the opening of ANB we saw three of the Guardians get taken from the Temple, But then when Spyro met Ignitus, he said that Cynder took the Guardians from the battlefield. Does that mean that before the night of the temple raid there were more than four Guardians? If so, will we ever hear of them again, or see them?

What do you think?

I have actually thought of that before. I always thought it was a fluke and never thought anymore about it. But what you said about their being four more guardians could be very possible. Cynder has harnessed four very different elements then Spyro and there were never any guardians for those powers. But maybe now there could be.

I didn't see anyone get taken in the opening, but when Ignitus tells Spyro about what happened on the battlefield, that event was AFTER the night of the Raid. When he drops the bombshell about Cynder in Concurrent Skies, the three Guardians seen unconscious weren't captured. That was later when Cynder appeared on the battlefield, and that's what Ignitus was describing when Spyro barges in on him.

i dont think new gaurdians are comeing i dont even think all the other ones like cyril,volteer, and terrador only ignitus is in DOTD

They should show ALL the guardians because what If Spyro needs trainning. Remember when he lost his element breaths and had to start over on TEN. the DOTD game could be the same.

Yeah, I mean just coz Ignitus said there were only four guardians doesn't make it true. He was after all not entirely honest with Spyro about Cynder.

*Shrugs* Ignitus is one of the main characters (c'mon, he's like Spyro's dad!) and his voice actor is famous. They only displayed his in ANB and TEN as well, and his role was very small in TEN.

The other three Guardians are returning too. Didn't you see the wallpaper of the guardians for DotD and the DotD game voice cast in imdb?

The voice cast shows that it's confirmed that they'll be coming back.

Maybe the other Guardians are being kept secret, or Ignitus and the others just don't know about them yet; maybe they live somewhere far away.

Oh i see what you mean. You think that coz the DM learned wind, an ability that Spyro doesn't have, that there must have been more than the fire ice earth and electricity Guardians in his day, so the same thing could be true for Spyro's era.

Interesting if there would come more guardians for Cynder's breath abilities. But Cynder's breath abilities are common skills of Dark Dragons. So the new Guardians for her abilities would be all evil. So I'm just wondering how the story writers would write this story logically that the Cynder's Guardians would turn good too.

But if this is the thing that really will happen it would insist Cynder's come back to the Dark Side. How would you, fellows of DarkSpyro, think if Cynder suddenly stabs Spyro in the back and turns out to be The Dark Master's spy or agent after all?

Who said that those powers are for dark dragons only? The DM is the only dark dragon who wasn't being controlled, and he can use all of Spyro's powers too. How do you know that Cynder's guardians don't live far away and are just as kind as Spyro's mentors? You don't!
Also there has been some debate over weather or not Terrador is the DM. I personally don't think it's true, but it kind of supports the stuff I said before this, if you know what I mean.

Yeah I know. But I was only playing with thoughts. And I was thinking Cynder's breath abilities name like poison... would good guy be so evil that one would poison one's enemies without good heroic fight? Also fear breath is giving me thoughts because I can't imagine that good guy would really use enemies' worst nightmares against them. Wind breath is thing I could easily see as a good guy breath but it seems so ripped-off from earth breath due to its nature-based background. And shadow breath also sounds so dark that it could only be used by evildoer.

But nothing is sure yet, only thing we actually know is the game's game-play-related technical information. So one cannot say what Cynder's breath actually do but this blindsided-by-darkness Guardians just fit this pattern! It makes sense! But nothing is sure and confirmed yet. But allow me to repeat myself:

Cynder (was born to be good but raised by the darkness) = Cynder Evil which would make her Guardians evil-minded too = Cynder learns the dark Dragon Magic which would be = her abilities which she uses against evil ups in DotD! It makes sense or does it?

But we are just playing with thoughts here, right?

Actually the powers that Cynder has are natural for black dragons like her. They are not necessarily evil, they just are normal for black dragons.
