I was in tru today, and some employee came up to me as i was by the diplay stand looking for a legendary bouncer and then gave me a skylander catalogue showing all the future waves, however it was clearly fake because I could see the pictures had terrible quality and were labeled wrong as well (eye brawl was labeled as hot dog and ninjini was labeled as the scorpion striker catapult) he even asked me if I have him $100 on the spot, he would send them all to me within the month. Didn't believe him for a second, I just laughed, tore it up in his face and reported him to the manager, and watched his filthy butt get kicked out of the store! And hopefully fired as well! The manager gave me an apology about what happened, and I said I'm just happy I was able to indentify the scam, I hope this will happen to nobody else! He smelled like drugs too, I guess he was high

I was in shock after this happened, just how stupid did he think I was?

People do this a lot. Some guy told me that for a thousand bucks, he could get me all the Skylanders. (Variants included) This was a kid at my school. Said his father worked for TFB. I just laughed in his face and walked away. He actually said the exact same thing to the next kid that walked by. Very sad, really.

Pics or it didn't happen. No offence but it seems like a lot of users are making rediculous stories up jus to get attention!

Some guy claimed that he saw a Walmart Promo for a "Wicked Thumpback" variant, but he lacked evidence. After nearly a week, he claimed that he had returned to walmart to find that the poster had been taken down. I'm not for sure, but I think he later admitted that he had lied. A lot of people had actually been fooled by this. Another false story was that some dude had gone to Gamestop to go shopping, and found Eye Brawl, Thumpback, and Hot Dog on the shelves. Apparently, he had left his wallet at home, and by the time he came back with his wallet they were all gone. He had no evidence, and claimed he had also left his phone at home so he couldn't take a picture. I believe there was another one about overhearing two employees talking about having loads of Eye Brawls in the back room. Again, no evidence. A lot of these have been around lately, it's starting to get very annoying. I believe you, though.

THIS is believable, but not any of those other crap stories.

what do either of those stories have to do with that? Even if they were fibbing, it's not like it pertains to Wave 3 or 4 or w/e.

so, kappa, usuallly many many drugs smell like alcohol which smells like beer which smells pretty weird in a salty way, youlll figure out when you smelll it. Others smell like plants or leaves for they are in them

anyways, I believe your story. Really strange that guy was trying to rip people of their money. and I beleive the story about the kid too. I know of a few people who'd ask for that same thing.

I am sceptical but this is beliveable and if I saw that happen I would just sit there laughing at him!

The attitude I take, when I don't know whether to trust someone's story, is that it actually doesn't matter either way if this particular guy telling this particular story is telling the truth: Humanity can be messed up sometimes, so this event has probably happened to someone somewhere either way, regardless of whether this particular guy telling the story is lieing.
I take this attitude to a lot of the stories I read on the internet, really.
