I'm sorry to put this into Giants forum .. but I hope I can help someone not loose all of their old Skylanders progress before they try to move everything over.. CREATE AN EXTRA SD CARD!! MAYBE..

I have had my Wii U since it came out but just tried to transfer my old files over to the new Wii U and I got an error message and it froze on the old Wii. My Dad is a programmer and he did it.. He eventually erased everything off of both the Wii's (the transfer prep files) and the SD card..tried a new SD card and it keeps freezing. He deleted my Kirby files (one of the places it got hung up) and a few others. Thank goodness my Skylanders Spyro's and Giants game is on my Playstation. I'm scared to look to see if any of my old progress (my unlocked Zelda, Mario Kart etc.) is still on the machine. Am I alone in this? or has anyone really tried yet?? I saw some reports of it online..but trying to figure out just how much of a problem is this? Nintendo's solution is for someone else to mail in their old perfectly functioning Wii and for approx $60.00 they will fix.

Maybe they'll have a fix soon.. I would wait to transfer everything!

Update: Everything's still on my Old Wii Thank goodness..but still don't have it on my Wii U. If I can't get it done or don't pay to have it "fixed"..It will be like playing the game brand new all over again.. unless I keep the old system around to play on still..pain in the rear..
