Just a fun little topic. Who would you like to see as Legendaries for Skylanders 3?

I mainly picked mine based on how well their colour scheme would work, I was gonna say Thumpback but I don't think his colour design would look too terribly fantastic given he's just one solid blue already. I also think Voodood and Dino-Rang deserve a bit more attention and Legendaries would be good for them.

they need L-flashwing, L-drill sergeant, and L-sprocket in 3 pack, L-camo in single, and L-zook.

I would bet that new Legendaries will not be characters with pre-existing in-game variants, i.e. Royal Double Trouble. The only exception to this so far has been Spyro, and I'm sure anyone posting on these forums will understand why that particular character had special circumstances.

So, in my opinion, that excludes:

I would also suspect that the characters they just made us buy Light Cores of will be excluded, simply because three (and in the case of Chill and Jet-Vac, four) versions of the same character inside of one year is completely excessive. Given this, I would exclude:

Hex, Shroom Boom, Pop Fizz, Drobot, Prism Break.

Note that I'm not excluding L. Eruptor, because clearly Eruptor receives some marketing preference from Activision--he is commonly the fourth character (behind Spyro, Trig & Gill) on plushies, toys, and even in the Skylanders novel. They love Eruptor, and even though he just had a Light Core, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see him again.

With the exclusions out of the way, on to the predictions:

Now, I think it is completely fair to expect eight Legendaries at least; one of each element. Heck, they practically did that this time, and as Legendaries have all been such an effective selling point, there is at least no way the number of releases will decrease. So, I am predicting a wave of nine new Legendaries, in two triple packs, two singles, and one Giant, with room for a third single.

But, which characters? Well, given Light Core patterns and the current wave of Legendaries, I think it is entirely fair to hypothesize a 50-50 split of old and new characters, so I'm going to predict that five of the nine new Legendaries will be new characters; four of the regular Skylanders, and the new Giant. Therefore, there will be no predictions for those except for that they will be new characters, and my best guess at what elements.

With all of the exposition on why and how I came to my decisions out of the way, here are my predictions for the new Legendaries:

Old characters:

L. Cynder - (Undead) 95% likelihood - Let's face it, Cynder, for better or worse, has become a central character in the Skylanders universe. Despite that, in-game variants in Giants are conspicuously absent. Expect that to change in Skylanders 3, I'm almost certain of it.

L. Eruptor - (Fire) 80% likelihood - For exactly the reasons mentioned above, I expect Activision to capitalize on the widely-known Eruptor character who, by then, will have been a plush, a stretchy figure, a stylus, a Mega Blok, in the novel, and a Light Core. They are FIRMLY behind Eruptor, make no mistake, and you can almost call this one today - there will be a Legendary Eruptor for Skylanders 3.

L. Wham-Shell (Water) 80% likelihood - As sure of a bet as Eruptor. Anyone with any connection to the Skylanders community at all has seen the demand for this figure. Activision obviously is not blind to it either. Recent comments have seemed to indicate a return for the Missing Eight from Giants, and given how few people received the first Wham-Shell, they would be able to capitalize on multiple markets by releasing this Legendary.

L. Camo (Life) OR L. Warnado (Air) 70% likelihood - For the same reasons as Wham-Shell. Hard to say which, though. Warnado's sculpt is far more appropriate for the Legendary color scheme than Camo, a figure whose details were mainly evident in the first place due to how colorful he is, and who would look structurally awkward as a Legendary. On the other hand, Camo WAS a dragon, and is certainly more popular than Warnado, so they may just make him anyway. Either way, expect the fourth "old" Legendary to be one of these two.

Dark horse pick: L. Drill Sergeant

New characters:

New L. Magic
New L. Air OR Life (pending Camo/Warnado)
New L. Giant

And that's a wrap. I may be off on a few of these, but I'm more or less confident that you'll find much of this to be accurate next year.

^Now that that's out of the way.... Who would you like to see get the legendary treatment?

The list above. I'd just like to be right, that's what I get out of it. All the characters are the same to me, since my actual favorite characters are plastered all over the current in-game variants as it is. Ignitor, Hex, Stealth Elf, Chill, Tree Rex... heck, only Sprocket of my current eight doesn't have an in-game variant already. I don't have a thing at stake this time, which is why I'm just predicting.

I'd like to see fright rider. I think he'd look sweet on a golden ostrich. POP fizz is obviously my favorite but he'd just be a darker blue with gold gloves. Kinda boring. Tho I'd stand in any line I get it lol. Whamshell would work well for the colors. Eye brawl would be my giant pick.

I'd say legendary Wham-Shell, Legendary Dino-Rang, and Legendary Ghost Roaster. Even though I like how they look already, their alternate colour schemes could be pretty cool.

Though honestly I'll be happy with Legendary Chill.

How about a Legendary Camo, Wham-Shell and Warnado. eheheh

Legendary Wham-Shell would be freakin amazing right down to getting some gold spikes. I would love Legendary Warnado with dark blue skin and a gold shell. Legendary Whirlwind should have been made over Legendary Jet-Vac from the start. Legendary Sonic Boom would be a bit redundant because she already is very dark and even has a blue tinge.
On the contrary to almost everyone I don't see Legendary Sprocket working. She already has gold skin and blue armor. You can't really change that much without making her look awkward. I'd rather see her get a variant with a color scheme based on her prototype(AKA white skin and red armor). Same with Legendary Drobot. If they want another Tech Legendary, Drill Sergeant or a new Skylander would pretty much be the only way to go cause they would lose too much color in transition with Boomer.

Yeah I would have to say a Legendary Wham Shell would be awesome!

All work and no play for me.

Legendary Voodood! Voodood is cool and I am sure they could incorporate the gold-blue colour scheme. But probably for Skylanders 3.
