Does anyone know if you need a special portal for Skylanders Battle Grounds???

Only the Bluetooth portal that comes with the Battlegrounds set will work with this game. The other portals from Spyro's Adventure, Giants or the DS games don't have bluetooth connection abilities so can't be recognized by an iPhone/iPod/iPad.

Need? No. Comes in handy? Yesh.

Not needed... But it is bloody helpful. I kind of regret buying just the game on it's own now . Still, I could just buy the starter pack and give away the codes.

Or redeem it and get a bunch of gems tho there doesn't seem to be a shortage of em as is.

I bought the game a few days ago because there was no sign of the portal (italy here).
Today i found the portal at saturn (gamestop didnt have it and no release date too).
I entered the redeem code and the game was reinstalled (didnt lose progress) but no gems.
Its not a problem, gems are plenty anyway.
Portal is a great help, exp and money are boosted alot.

I'd contact support about it. I understand its not a big deal but I think the money paid for the app is worth sending in one email.

First i have to see if the money are refunded or what. Havent see the credit card bill.
If they bill me for the game ill try to contact both apple and activision.
