I just want to clarify something about path switching with Series 2.

You CAN have both upgrades bought at the same time and just switch between them. I experimented with it in the earlier morning, since I just needed some final levels, some Heroics and a couple Quests after, and it worked.

The only issue I encountered that was for some reason the purchased upgrades on Slam Bam switched when I first tried it, I had Blizzard Brawler upgraded, switched and Glacier Yeti was instantly upgraded, and I needed to redo Blizzard Brawler.

However, this at least confirms path switching is safe and you won't just be wasting Gold with it.

Actually this same thing happened with me, but with S2 Gill Grunt. I had the Harpoon path done and went to switch, and selected Harpoon again on accident. I had to rebuy all of it again, but Water Weaver was fully unlocked.

Pretty neat. Little extra thing everyone can do to make the figures more "complete"
