I think my Pc Portal has a problem, than some of my figures are "broken" now.

is there a way to fix this, than just contakt the Support?

On a console version you place the figure on the portal and get the broken toy message, hit pause and go to the main menu. From there in settings go to general and you will see fix a broken toy. Hit that three or four times and it should fix it. However, it will reset the toy.

Thanks Bazinga!....very useful information. I didnt know know this. Does that work on all consoles versions? (Wii, PS3 and Xbox)

Ahhhh ok. Got it. So if your Series 1 Charachter gets a broken toy message in the first game can you go put him into the Giants game and fix him that way so that he works again in the first game?...lol....did you follow that?

Actually, there's a quick way to fix it on the pc version, posted this once before so copy and paste to the rescue!


1: Open your game and put the problem toy on the portal, wait for the error message to come up
2: Use Ctrl+Esc to Return to your desktop, leave the toy on the portal through the whole process
3: Unplug the portal from the USB and wait a few moments
4: Replug the portal, wait moment for it to connect to the pc, then bring your game window back up
5: You should see the summon video as you tab back into your game but this time the error should not come up

My guess is that it would work on S1 Characters also, however I am not sure.

the Pc Trick didn't work but the console thing did.
There were all Series 1 skylanders :-)

Good to know, I'll try to fix my Ninjini with this. (And, I'm not lying.)

I will mention that the "Fix Broken Toy" option seems to be missing from the Wii U version, at least I've not had a broken toy and tried to find that menu yet.

i know how to fix this without resetting!! but i only know how to do it on SSA pc i have SG wii but it never happend there you just need to put em on the pc game on the portal and minimalisize the game, if the portal stops glowing maximalisize the game again and quikly put your skylander on it and it will work... sorry my english is bad when i'm going to explain something...

It is a PITA when the Broken Toy message appears and you have to reset on the Skylander Giants game. My fully upgraded Trigger Happy just got the dreaded message when I put him on the portal and now I have to start all over again from Level 1 with no coins and no Heroic Challenges!....uuugh! Atleast he can be reset after the broken toy message but still.........
