RANT! Ok, so I really have a few problems with the Topps Skylanders Giants Trading Cards. I love the cards themselves, and I love the idea, but there is a lot that I just gotta complain to you guys about, and hopefully get some feedback.

Today, I found the Toys R Us exclusive Giants Trading Card starter set. The store had both Legendary Pack versions, so I got both. When I opened up the set, I noticed something strange. First of all, it didn't come with that huge poster/activity sheet/checklist thing, only the binder inserts. Then, I noticed something even stranger. The pages in the binder can only hold four cards per page, not nine! One binder can't even fit in the entire set of cards, even with putting cards in the front and backs of pages! The puzzles obviously wouldn't even be puzzles because you need a nine card page! I know for a fact that I have seen videos on YouTube with nine page versions of these binders, plus with the huge poster.

That's my problem with the starter set here in the US. Now on to the card set themselves.

The biggest problem I have with this series is the fact that there are things that should have been made into cards, that weren't. Here is a list of a few examples.

- Missing Legendaries. Honestly, how hard would it have been to make Legendary Bash and Legendary Lightcore Chill cards and include one in each of the two Legendary Packs? Maybe they are saving them for the supposed TINS that I have heard about in a few places, but I'm not sure.

- Missing In-Game Variants. What about the other in-game variants that are out there? Dark Spyro is a perfect example of this. Dark Spyro has a 'Screenshot' card, but not a generic 'Series 1' card like all of the other Skylanders from Spyro's Adventure. And what about the others who have no representation in the set, such as Punch Pop-Fizz, Gnarly Tree Rex, Royal Double Trouble, etc.

- Missing 'Other Items'. Why no cards for things like the Sidekicks, Volcanic Vault, or the Dragonfire Cannons? We got the Adventure Packs from Spyro's Adventure, but nothing else.

- Missing Enemies, Side Characters, Hats, etc. This one is self-explanatory. If you are not going to represent everything, then why even bother? Maybe they are saving some for a second series? Topps tends to do that...

- Master Eon. Did this really have to be a UK exclusive? -____-

Well, there you have it. What are your thoughts on all of this?

Well. I agree on the binders only holding 4 instead of 9 per page and the master eon card being uk exclusive but I just learn to deal with it. And to answer your rant on the dark spyro card, it will be with a tin that so far I'm only seeing on uk sites. So who knows. I ordered the 9-sleeve binder on amazon for 12$ with no shipping. So that's a great pkus. Plus they may make more cards if they show successful on sells.

Do you just live to make arguments on forums, WUMBOSIMPSON? I'm not really complaining. Am I annoyed? Yes. But, I really just wanted to make a discussion about this. Go post pointless comments somewhere else.

I didn't know that Dark Spyro was going to be in the tin! I figured that would be saved for the last two Legendaries. Where did you hear this?

I saw that same binder on Amazon. Does it include Master Eon?

uk got the master eon card, usa got legendary cards and glow in the dark cards ... i say usa wins on this one

as has already been mentioned a dark spyro card will be included in a collectors tin

pictures on the cards are in both portrait and landscape style but uk and usa albums only have portrait style card slots. this means you need to turn the album on it's side to look at the landscape style cards.

to store our cards i've purchased an ultra pro collectors album that can hold both portrait and landscape pages. i've also used this to store the cards that are with the game figures.

as far as there could be other cards, there are already over 200 to collect, that is more than enough.

i have 4 complete sets and hundreds left over so i know what i am saying ... on average people will need to open over one hundred packets to find a complete set, either that or do a lot of swapping. even with swapping some cards are so rare that there is slim chance you will find someone who has 2 to allow a swap.

I could try... what I did was search for "skylander card starter set". It should show. It is sold through a 3rd party... the vendor is Buy 4 Less UK. They're selling for $12.24 at the moment with free shipping.

I used the TRU binders for the figure cards and sticker sheets.
