I went to TRU with my boys and my youngest immediately saw the L-Stealth Elf on the shelf. When we went to pay, the associate said that she wasn't available for purchase and she wasn't supposed to be on the shelf until the 22nd. There were plenty of them on the shelf, so I'm not worried about purchasing it. I seen other people posting about this happening with other figures. To the associate's credit, it seemed that he was trying to override the system so we could purchase it, but it wasn't happening. If we could have gotten it, I wouldn't have to deal with the Thursday/Black Friday nonsense that's coming.

You would think that the retailers would learn their lesson regarding sale dates from the screwed up release for dragon's peak but I guess not.

Here is what I think regarding the Legendary Stealth Elf. First of all it is a Toys R Us Exclusive and just like last year they will reproduce the figure because TRU wants your money. Even if you miss out on this figure now then I'm sure by next year another restock is going to happen. Falling in line and probably ending up staying in TRU for a couple of hours just for this is not really worth it. Unless you are really going for some other deals then I would stay away from TRU as much as you can. IMHO the deals at Walmart are the best deals I've seen for Sklanders for Black Friday. The Glow In The Dark Sonic Boom and the $38.96 stater packs with the GITD Cynder has the most bang for your buck. The Green Gill Grunt bundled with the XBOX is also an awesome deal for people who do not have the first game. You can sell either the game, the exclusivee figure or the console and get up to 50% of your money back.

legendary stealth elf is also an amazon italy exclusive for mainland europe but a tru exclusive for the uk ... already released in italy but not yet available in the uk

I definitely believe there will be plenty of those figures. TRU is still overflowing with L-Trigger Happy figures. Although, I do plan on picking up one of those Wal-Mart Skylander packs.

I plan on picking up a Legendary Stealth Elf. My wife is going to try and get a GITD Sonic Boom for me also. I think they will both be in plenty of supply. Wal-Mart Generally does a good job at keeping these things stocked. Like someone else had said TRU has a crap ton of LTH right now. I just hope after working 13 hours on Turkey day, that someone don't piss me off at TRU, it might be on like pettyjohn then!

Found one on the shelf at my local TRU. They couldnt scan it but scanned a regular one instead and gave me the Legendary!!...I got lucky.
