They had an Autobot with that same stupid "gargly" voice, his name was "Seaspray" and he transformed into a hovercraft. I'm sorry, but if you thought his voice wouldnt be gargly, you are crazy and short sighted. It was a natural fit. And like others said he had a gargly growl. The voices that tick me off are Gill Grunt and Terrafin who had a particular style and then they completely clashed with that style.

The problem is his actual back voice is really high pitched. It sounds like a little kid. In the first game his grunting had just the right tone of fierce and cute behind it. But here it's like he stalled tons of helium(or maybe someone played a prank and filled his suit with it).
I agree about Gill Grunt but I disagree about Terrafin as I hated his voice in the first game.

Even though he's voiced by Jeff Bergman who also voices Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck in The Looney Tunes Show (the older cartoons were much better though), I really wish he didn't sound like that. --- Fins, of fury!

Making his own crazy growly theme music and the whole bit. He stills sounds animalistic when moving around, and yet they gave him a voice that doesn't fit at all with that. --- Glad heroic challenges are gone. Imagine doing 165 per skylander. ^ This. Esepcially the bit about being just the right middle ground between fierce and cute. That was my favourite thing about Zap's SA voice, and something that has been lost in 'Giants.

Most of the game's new voices have been hit-and-miss really. Gill Grunt's new voice sounds... alright, but it has considerably less style now than the adorable french accent he had in SA.

Sonic Boom's new voice is the one that makes me angry: Her animal noises in SA sounded pretty cool, and I don't mind the idea that she should talk in 'Giants but- with that voice!? it sounds far too delicate for such a fierce animal! Someone in a different thread likened Sonic Boom's new voice to a British house mum, which, unfortunately, I'd say is fitting.

An example of a new 'Giants voice which I like is Voodood's: I found his generic tribal gibberish in SA a little cheesy, but the vaguely african-accented voice he has now makes him sound impressive! It reminds me of the voices of some of the Horde races from Warcraft, in a good way.
