Mayor Floud walked up to Stoic, "ahh, glad to see you havn't left yet!" he was hauling a chest behind him.

Stoic paused in sharpening his axes and looked up at him. "Nope. I'm still here." He said, plainly, his voice deep. He noticed the chest. "You want me to get that?" He offered.

"...nothing." He said, shaking the feeling off. Soru stared intently at the map. Ra Lena's words rung in his head. You can't just follow along. "We should take the River Belle Path, and then go to Port Tipa to restock on supplies." He spoke out. A bit unusual for him.

ooc: Ohh! I have an idea! Separation.

ooc: shhh D-O don't spoil the plot!

the Mayor Floud shook his head, then called to the rest of the Caravaneers(all you other peoples!), "Hey, yungins, get yourselves out hear please." then he knelt by the chest and opened it, digging like there was gold beneath it.

Ra Lena nodded to Soru's Plan, then walked outside to the voice of Mayor Floud.

Giy absorbed the full force of the thrust, not moving, except to lower his shield. "Maybe we should go see what mr. Floud wants?"

"good idea" skullete answered and sheathed her blade.

ooc: gosh dangit. I got a lucky guess.

Soru lowered his head a bit, embarrassed and quickly stepped back.

skullete walked to where mayor floud was.

Stoic put his axes away and peeked into the chest.
"What'cha got there, chief? Yer digging like there's gold in that chest." He said.

Giy walked a few feet behind Skullete.

Ra Lena grabbed Soru's hand(because he has yet to say "hi" to mayor!) and pulled him to the mayor.

once everyone was there the mayor started pulling things out of the Chest: a book, a strange orb, a rock, an anklet, a set of gauntlets, a bracelet, a ring, and a flat piece of metal.
"things to help you guys make your travels!" Mayor floud said abruptly, after setting everything on the stump.

"You got some nice stuff here. Appreciate the items." Stoic grinned, eyeing the stuff on the stump. The ones he liked most were the rock, the gauntlets, and the flat piece of metal.

ooc: and of those 3, which do you think is yours? i'll give you a bonus if you guess right.

ooc: Hmm.... I'm going to go with the metal.

ooc: nope...
Mayor Floud nodded to Stoic's remark about the items, "this is for you sonny!" and he tossed the gauntlet at him.

Stoic smiled and caught the gauntlet.
"Thank you. Much appreciated. Can't wait to put it to good use." He said, already inspecting the gauntlets before putting them on.

ooc: Oh well, I guessed wrong. Still cool, though.

ooc: now is the fun part, watching to see how long it takes for you to figure out what they do.... that is...if they actually do anything.

"you'da better put em to good use too." then he picked up the rock. he held it carefully, like it were made of glass. then he held it out to skullete.

ooc: Ooh, neat. Curiosity is killing me already. I gotta try 'em out to see if they do anything.

Stoic looked at the gauntlets he had just put on with a grin. He couldn't wait to figure out what they could do.
"Oh, this is gonna be fun." He chuckled.

skullete gently took the rock and examined it. "thanks" she said. this. is . EXCITING!

ooc: hehehehe, can you figure out the puzzle?

ooc: .... my mind is blank.... hm...

"..." He accepted the piece of metal without much thought,slipping it into his pocket. Soru was already slightly blushing from Ra Lena grabbing his hand. After he accepted the gift, Soru nodded his thanks and immediately turned to leave.

ooc: well D-O yours is gonna be tough for you to figure out... as for Stealthefrocks, yours you should figure out quite easily XD

Mayor floud nodded to them all, wished them luck, then went back to town. (yes he took the chest)
Ra Lena looked at the others, "Well, can we go now?"
Giy put his shield on his back, slipped on the ring(already knowing what it does after he puts it on) and walked towards the Caravan driving seat.

"Well, I'm ready to go." Stoic said as he turned to face Ra Lena. Although he was still curious about his gauntlets and wanted to know what they did.

"Well get in the Caravan!" she said running over and hopping in the back of the caravan. once inside she put on her anklet.

Stoic chuckled a bit and simply walked over, hopping in the back. Once inside, he started looking at his gauntlets. He wanted to know what they did. A couple of ideas were already floating around in his head.

ooc: ooh. I'm bad with RP puzzles er...stuffs like that. Though that provides an...interesting challenge. I accept.

Soru sat at the back of the caravan with Ra Lena, but on the opposite side of where she sat, facing her. He took out the metal and stared at it intently, with a look that could bore laser holes into that metal.

Stoic glanced over at Soru.
"You plan to melt the metal with that stare?" He chuckled.

If Soru heard, he didn't respond. The only movement he made after that comment was to tilt his head slightly, as birds sometimes do and stare at it with more intensity. His face was clenched in tight concentration.

"Okay then...." Stoic muttered with a shrug. He then quietly went on to inspect his gauntlets. He started to search for hidden compartments or areas, like a place where hidden claws might pop out.

skullete got on the caravan with the others and looked at the rock intently

As soru stared at the metal, he noticed something odd about his reflection... something was off about it, but he couldn't quite figure it out(i help you :D)

the rock gave a very gentle shake. then the Caravan began to move.

Stoic found a purple pearl in each gauntlet, secured inside.

skullete's eyes widened in surprise when the rock shook and so did the caravan.

ooc: is it some sort of psychic rock ?

Stoic blinked as he noticed the purple pearl in each gauntlet. For some reason, he felt like poking a pearl, so he poked one. He wondered if it had magical properties, or if it was just there for looks.

ooc: lol, thanks. Heheh...

Soru frowned and then threw it like a dagger at the back of the caravan. A dull thwack sounded as it imbedded itself into the would, but didn't go through it.

ooc: no it's not a psychic rock.... i thought yours was the easiest.... YOUR A BEAST TAMER WITHOUT A BEAST! hehehe. your welcome D-O

the pearls didn't look magical, but they did look important.

the metal suddenly lost its green color and turned clear as glass.

the rock shook again.

"Hmm...." Stoic muttered curiously as he took a closer look at the pearls. They must have a purpose. They certainly look like they should do something. Perhaps they would activate some type of power if he were to attack something. Stoic then glanced around for a harmless thing to hit just for practice.

Soru sighed and then scooted over, pulling it out of the wood. Turned to glass. Clear huh? Soru looked through it, closing one eye, his head still tilted curiously.

ooc: i see

skullete finally recognised it, and held it closer to her

When soru looked into the clear metal, it became as a mirror, reflecting him perfectly. now Soru could tell what was different: his reflection was missing the pupils.

The 'rock' shook once more, this time a chunk falling off.

Skullete held out the "rock". already?

Soru frowned again. Strange thing it is.... He thought and then put it away for the time being.

Stoic grabbed a spare piece of metal and held it up with one hand. Then with his other hand he punched the metal, and then watched to see how the purple pearls would respond.

ooc: yes, already!

Ra Lena looked at Soru, "did you find out what it does?"

ooc: ice spell, used by your pet

Stoic frowned at the lack of action from the pearls. He would have to try something else if he wanted to find out what they did. But what? Damaging the pearls or trying to take them out of the gauntlets wouldn't do any good. Besides, he didn't want to ruin his gift. There had to be another way to find out what the pearls did.
"Hmmmm......" Stoic muttered as he stared intently at the pearls, deep in thought on what they could possibly do and how to test the theory.

ooc: so the trauma can use ice magic?

ooc: yes.

ooc: okay

Soru shook his head. "No." He replied simply, then jolted a bit surprised when Skullete's rock became some sort of pet thing. He jumped out of his seat, perching on the edge of the caravan, balancing expertly but still looking like he'd fall off at any second.

Stoic looked over at the pet thing.
"Well, would you look at that. That's a neat little guy, isn't it? Nice little companion you got there. I bet he'd be helpful to have around." He smiled a bit. Then he glanced at Soru. "No need to be alarmed, my friend. it's not going to hurt ya or anything. Just sit down so you don't fall off." He said.
