Yeah, but that was specific to a pack, not a whole bundle including a console. It depends if Sony and/or Wii will get snippy about it or only expect a limited "exclusivity".

He exists to sell consoles, and I think every party involved is making more money if it stays that way. Otherwise they wouldn't have done it. So I second the notion that it's doubtful he would ever be released on his own. This isn't to say he won't be re-posed and released with the next sequel; that, there's no way of knowing.

Agreed... the Dark Spyro single pack would be a valid point if this were Punch Pop Fizz, as he is a 3DS exclusive like DS was, but I think Gnarly will only be available in the console bundle for money purposes... I'm thinking that Green Gill Grunt with S:SA and the XBox bundle will be the same... although I'd still love to see a single of him even tho it's a S1 figure... lol

As much as I hate myself for it, I agree with the general consensus here and don't think he'll ever be released on his own. The good news is his eBay price has been somewhat steadily declining to somewhere in the 75 dollar range as of late.

The better news is with a little pre-planning, he can be your for absolutely zero dollars (more or less).

Here's how to work it out: I bought the $149.99 Skylanders Giants Wii bundle at Toy R Us, and it came with a free L-Trigger Happy as an added bonus (I guess they have to get rid of them somehow). I took Gnarly out of the box and replaced him with regular Tree Rex. I posted the bundle, the L-Trigger Happy, my Shroomboom and Chop Chop doubles (had to get the Dragonfire Cannon and Golden one as well) and about 50 Topps Skylanders card double for an even $200. My e-mail is OVERFLOWING with people wanting to buy my stuff.

With a little logistics and some cash up front, the Gnarly is practically free!
