It's not even a pre order. It's a place holder. Site says release was nov 1st. No one knows the actual release yet. This is simply an unfinished item. Dunno what happens when you buy but I imagine a headache ensues

They should make it for android too.. it says it's only for the iOS platform right now, that cuts out about half of the mobile population and u know how Acti likes to get the most for their money... i'd buy an Android version for sure!

why only iphones what about the rest of us there are other formats android or win phone ect.

Because apple will sue anybody that has the ability to play this game. Apple thinks they're the only line that can make a phone do anything else but make phone calls.

Actually, it is because users of iOS are spending 6-8 times the amount on apps compared to Android. Windows phone isn't even on the chart. Lost Islands could do decently on Android, since only the free-with-in-app-purchases games seem to do well there, but Cloud Patrol and Battlegrounds would barely sell at all.

Add the fact that the iOS devices are made by 1 manufacturer making it easier to test and release as "compatible with all iOS devices". Android devices are made by how many companies now? Activision would have to go to each company, get several devices and test before they can claim Android compatible.

As of the launch date that is correct - Android device users won't be able to play. It may come out later on for Android devices, it may not. We can't say right now.

Considering no other Skylander product is on the Android OS I'd say no.

My focus is if tru will have it tomorrow. I have a $50 gift card there and can't really afford the 50 elsewhere. Tho worse comes to worse ill get it in a couple weeks and get the 2 l-triple packs tomorrow.

The portal does come with a redeem code, the app on the app store is just if you don't want to buy the portal. If you buy the game now and then the portal later you will still have the activation code, so it's all up to you if you want to go ahead and get it now and then have an activation code later or if you just want one copy of the game.

What I would like to now if whether the activation code could be redeemed after the app is purchased from the app store to facilitate a refund of the app purchase. Anyone able to confirm?

Are you sure you have a generation 3 iPod touch? It is listed in the supported devices for the game. Maybe you just need to update your iOS version? The 3rd generation Touch can support iOS 5.1.1.

No, this is not possible.

I don't know about internet connection. It may be required for unlocking characters via a code instead of the portal. There are no social functions.

I'm sure that is my device and it already has iOS 5.1.1, as you can see from the screengrabs above that is all I see in the App store on my device. I logged into the App store on my computer and it states the App does support my device, but I am not falling for this Acti compatibility crap again.

When Lost Islands arrived first there was no mention in the App store of it not working on older models. I have screenshots of this from last week. It has since been updated on the App Store - thank fudge, it will stop other players from getting frustrated after waiting an age for the game to download.

When viewing the information for Lost Islands on the computer (even today the information is the same) I get this:

I will put up with the Lost Islands frustration for now, but I am not willing to pay for the gamble of an App working or not working on my device. Let someone else try

yet. it does connect to game center but soon it wil connect to activate.
