i got to play on the wii u at my local game store, i actually think you can just use the wii version on the wii u

You can be sure as heck I will.

The Wii U version has from-scratch 1080p graphics and the currently exclusive rights to the GamePad's buffs(such as playing it on the GamePad or seeing objectives, etc., I don't believe Wii games can do this or at least not the extra stuff on the screen while the game is on your TV).

And I love Nintendo and I'm already getting a Wii U so.

That WAS my plan, until the Wii bundle with Gnarly Tree Rex. Now that I have the game for Wii, I don't think I'll buy it again for Wii U. The next Skylanders, however, will be a Wii U purchase for sure! smilie

My Dad is picking up the Wii U on the 19 because release day is a Sunday, but hopefully they have a midnight release that way he could PROBABLY pick it up. Besides, I won't have enough money for a starter pack until the 17th, so of course I'll get it for the Wii U!
