I have all the S1 figures who are getting remodeled, but I'm still thinking about getting the S2 and lightcore figures. At first, I thought getting remodeled figures of the ones I already had would be a waste of money, but when I got S2 Chop Chop with the battle pack, I started to reconsider.

i would reccommend it if you dont have the series 1 charecters like me then i would get them because they work on both games

S2 more so than LightCore. Wow Pow powers are almost always extremely useful, and path swapping is a great perk. Meanwhile, LightCores, cool though their designs may be, are fancy S1 characters in terms of in-game perks.

What will you do though when they release Skylanders: ???? and they release S3 figures?
What do you think are the risk of this happening?
Right now I will get one of each element (will have duplicates of some since the starter packs have overlapping) to wait and see if S3 will be a reality.

If you want to get LCs, get LCs of the newer Skylanders.

The Wow Pows and path switching are too good to pass up S2s.

It all depends. For me, I will be getting all. I collect them. Any rare ones I find GITD from S1 or if I stumble across the stone variants for S2 I will keep in a box.

If you don't want to collect them all, then I would just get the s2 that you don't have from s1. (does that make sense? It does in my brain but not so much when I type it.)

However, remember as it was stated above. You will not get the Wow Pow Powers!

I'm just getting the Lightcores so I can have different paths for each figure. Orb path for Hex, Eruption path for Eruptor, Crystaleer for Prism Break, Gear path for Drobot, and Slingshot for Shroomboom. And I'm getting the others for a complete collection, even if I am getting the variants of the other Lightcores.

Prism break is too sweet of a lightcore not to buy.
