It sounds good in theory but PSVita Sales were pretty bad from I am aware from. Nintendo has the market for Handheld game/systems, I mean look, PSVita like what 30 games out or something like that? They have like 200 for the DS systems and such (Includes 3DS) and it would be much easier for 3DS to play Skylanders because of Dual screens and has infrared cnnection better than the Vita.

have faith.... the psvita has only been released this years and have already more games titles than the nintendo 3ds had on its first year of release... the 30 games you are talking about here is the launch releases, more games have been released since and more is on the way. the psvita are also a much more advanced and better console than the nintendo 3ds. it have blue tooth, cross game abilities, proper online functions, more ram, bigger cpu, touch screens, bigger screen and two analog sticks.. so a skylanders game will do good on the psvita.

I still personally think that the 3DS is the BEST handheld ever because... IT PLAYS IN 3D!!!

There IS no higher compliment that I can feasibly give within my current apathetic human form which is already shriveling away and before me from acknowledging the fact of this thought.

Not happening. Vita is a total flop and games barely sell on it. Impressive hardware ruined by lack of... well pretty much anything good. The sales numbers are low and only getting lower. It already had at least one holiday season and Sony still hasn't made a profit off the Vita. The only way Vita will sell well is at a price drop for this year's holiday season and at that point, Sony would be losing so much money from that.

Why do you think they haven't dropped the price on the newest "cost friendly" PS3 model? 270 dollars isn't exactly cheap when you get a Wii or a 360 plus games for that price. It's because Sony would be losing even more money then they already are.

tbh, I still can't believe handheld game systems are still a market in videogame-dom. most nintendo handheld games are hand-down titles from previous nintendo consoles, and Sony, while trying their best to get into that market, seems to be failing miserably in marketing. They have a great system, they just dont have the titles.

well, if nintendo is leading overall, which I would say they are, its not like there's heavy competition. It's hard not to be number one in this case.

iOS is far worse than both of them... As a game thing... Pffff. Only things it's useful for are multimedia and the casuals. Wake me up when we see something as engrossing, lengthy, and clever as... Say... Pretty much any well-recieved non-iOS game.

I think 3 companies in the Game Race is ENOUGH! We don't need any more systems! And I don't consider iPhones, iPads, or any of that other stuff to be in the Game Race.

Honestly the one problem I have with a Vita version other than it probably shelf warming? The fact they'd more than likely cram a variant into that tiny little box. Want Scarlet Ninjini? Well ya better find someone that wants that game kiddies!

Sadly though I do wish they hadn't dropped the PSP like they did. The system still feels like it has so many miles on it, even with inferior (to the Vita) hardware.

Vitas rubbish! I would get it for wiiu but i already got it for wii. Nintendo are trying to push wii past 100 million sales so im rooting for them! They are releasing a wii giants bundle with a blue wii, gnarly tree rex(touche ps3) s2cynder, jet-vac and the game with portal, etc. GO NINTENDO! (do not say vita is better cos is ISNT.)

Their not in the games race. They just destroy the casual/shut the kid up in the back seat with a game market. You have to WANT a game system. Thus apple wipes out the strickly casual gamer. Theyre not game systems, but they provide games. None of you are true casual gamers so you might not understand. If you were a casual, you wouldn't be talking about this on a website.

How cute you resort to the "fanboys" insult to get yourself the high ground. Here's the cold hard fact: Apple focuses on multimedia portable devices. Their profit comes from the average person who enjoys having a device that does many things. Dedicated gamers will never see the iPad as a legitimate gaming device. It's good for pick up and play on the go for ten minutes gaming and maybe enjoying some music while texting somebody, but that's it. The only game I'm aware of that can come close to competing to a title on a dedicated gaming device is The World Ends With You. And that's a watered down port of the original Nintendo DS release.

Maybe one day Apple will focus on a dedicated gaming handheld? What then? Will its hardware be able to compete with Nintendo's and Sony's devices? Sure, it might have all those nifty little apps that the iPad boasts, but what about the games? Will developers be willing to make games for that device? Try WiiU. It has hardcore games on it but i cant say them cos it would be"off topic". Hint: the hardcore gme involves 28 days later style zombies that are LONDONEERZ! I live in britain...ulp. Plus they have a certain shooting game which is set in the future, a 8 month old game with a bad ending and aliens and a certain red chap who is "casual". So what ya think now? P.S IT INCLUDES SKYLANDERS GIANTS IN THE LAUNCH WINDOW! GO OH YEAH! WIIU WILL ROCK YOU EPICLY!

a while ago i had to choose between WII and PS3. I went for the WII. why? graphics aint everything. gameplay is more important.

I doubt skylanders will be released on PS Vit.because nintendo leads handheld big time. so its a better sale on that. not to mention most people with a handheld also got a ps3,xbox or wii.

one thing i know for sure is i wont but the WII U. it lost the unique aspect imo.

Nintendo is ALWAYS going to be the best, especially when the Wii U comes out. The only system with a gamepad as a controller.

Ok first of all, I wasn't using "fanboy" as an insult. I'm a fanboy myself. Heck, all of us are users on a fansite for spyro and.or skylanders. We're all fanboys.

Second, I never said Nintendo wasn't winning. But in terms of the future, companies like Apple are constantly trying to come out with a portal device that can do "everything". I know that right now, an iphone doesn't hold a candle to a 3DS in terms of gaming. All I'm saying is that there might come a time when Apple is able to play the gaming market. And this is coming from a guy who uses PCs and hates Macs.

Also, for everyone thinking Apple developing a game device is a bad thing, understand the free market style and that when there's competition between sellers, the customer always wins.
