Since when does someone have to play the classics to be a Spyro fan? A Spyro fan is anyone who's ever played and enjoyed at least 1 Spyro game.

On topic: I've never played it.

Guys, stop it. A lot of the people these days are newish to Spyro and weren't here for the classics or maybe not even TLOS. They can't help that. I guess the people who have just either haven't answered this poll yet or a majority of them left. But don't criticize "skyros" for not playing a game that came out fourteen to fifteen years ago.

On topic: Town Square. I don't know why, but I love that level.

Holy crap, this many people haven't even played the first game? It's pretty sad and I feel sorry for you, because it's a definitive classic, so simplistic and pure. Skylanders is okay, but since it's aimed at the 5-10 department, its more hyper and all over the place.

And before anyone complains about that statement, get an emulator. Play it. You're really missing out. It might even change the way you live.

Back on topic, Town Square. The music brightens up my day no matter how many times I hear it. It's probably my second favorite level in the entire game, but here's how the others in Artisans stack up:

Town Square > Sunny Flight > Toasty > Dark Hollow > Stone Hill > Home

If you've played the game, you can probably see the more pumped up levels are higher than the calmer ones. smilie Here's a commercial I even dug up, for nostalgia's sake.

I would agree with you, but judging by your signature, I can't help but feel like you bought a good amount of Skylanders.

Spyro the Dragon is a mere $6 on the PSN store (which you can access via PS3, PSP, and probably PSVita). Skylanders, however, is more expensive. If you don't have any of the systems above, I guess I understand.

For me, it's a cross between Dark Hollow and Stone Hill.
I think that Dark Hollow has a lot of atmosphere to the level, but it is quite short compared to the other levels, maybe it's supposed to be the first level that you should play? Perhaps it's like a introduction? I don't know, thing is Stone Hill comes up at the top of the list in the Inventory. The soundtrack is great too.
But really, I think Stone Hill beats it, I feel more free in that level, and there seems to be more to it, some levels in Spyro the Dragon are short, and don't seem to have much in them, and some are quite big, and seem to have a lot more going on in them. Mind you, some short levels have a bit to do in them too. It's a bit of a mixture really.
