I know that the answer to this is just based off your opinion, but is it truly worth it for someone like me who collected the original 37 to reinvest in the reposes? I bought a S2 Sonic Boom and Terrabite that are still in the packaging, and I'm considering returning them. Does anyone have firsthand opinions from playing with the S2 in the console game about if they are a worthwhile upgrade? I currently just have the 3DS version of Giants, and Cynder seems pretty nerfed with her Wow Pow.

Most of the Wow Pows do seem impressive from what the game guide says

Yes for wow pow and also to open heroic challenges. You need Series 2 figures to open up that particular character's heroic challenge. This is the best way to maximize stats for new figures.

Series 2, in my opinion, is a waste. It's a run for your money. I find it also weird that only orange-base skylanders do anything for accolades, heroics, and adding to the collection. I only have series 2 Chop-Chop, but it's only from the GameStop exclusive battle pack (w golden dragonfire cannon). Why couldn't Activision combine Lightcore AND Series 2? For that exact same reason. Not ALL of them are terrible, though.

It's not worth getting all of them just your faves and the ones with an awesome WOW-POW

It is not even remotely worth the money nor time investment to re-level the characters.

They're usually tons better. All the new top characters, power-wise, are S2 reposes. Yes, it's worth it... if you have the cash.

^This. The wow pows really are a game breaker. They make ok characters into great characters. If you can, buy them. I suggest buying the one's your missing from S1, and your favorites. |

I agree, I think they are worth it. And yes I do have the original 37 figs, but regardless these figures are much nicer made. And to top it off, the Wow Pow makes the deal sweeter.
Its worth it if you think it is. Me personally, I do.

IMO, it's worth it just to have an excuse to replay through all the original characters and seeing how they changed and what changed in Giants with them. Resetting your old figures to do that just doesn't have the same impact. Plus, having them makes your collection look a ton nicer and larger. This is coming from someone who didn't want to buy one of them when she first saw them. LightCores are a waste though, they're more expensive and the Giants already have LightCore by standard for the effect.
