the reason the light on drobot is dull is because the led is in the base and not in the actual figure.
there is however a way to make it a bit brighter ...
the yellow/orange resin on his back shouldn't be glued in as it is just a plug that runs all the way through the body.
this resin plug can be removed by carefully inserting a thin small flat screwdriver under an edge and wiggling upwards until the plug starts to lift up.
once the plug start lifting just grab hold and pull it up and out of the body.
look down through the body and you will see the led in the base.
cut off the long part of the plug that fits through the body and place back over the hole. if the light is bright enough add a small dab of glue to fix into place.
if you would like even more light through carefully cut away at the underside of the plug to make it thinner before you glue it back into place.

Just did it. Be careful when you do it, as I was prying the orange part out and I broke it. Part of the plug broke off down inside the toy and I couldn't get the rest out at all. He still works, and does light up a little better than before but I'd imagine he'd light up a lot better if the plug I was trying to get out would have actually come out.

ok, I did it to my LC Drobot today and the screwdriver seemed to be denting the figure a tad so i switched to a letter opener and that worked like a charm!! The tiny dents also seemed to go away after a few hours... kinda like a sponge, weirdly interesting...!! lol
