This is weird. I beat Giants, so decided to start a new file. I've been playing along and noticed level differences between the files. On file one, my Hex is level 10, but level 11 (where I originally raised her) on file 2. Crusher is level 13 on file 1 (where I originally raised him) and level 7 on the second file. It goes on and on with all the characters. What's going on here?

It's because the Levels are saved to the game rather than figure on the 3DS version. This may be unsafe so I totally advise maxing them all out ASAP.

Well, but how come when I bring over characters, they are at increased levels (not level 1) just not levels they are suppose to be at.

You have to rescan the toys (send the info) for the levels and updated stuff to go back to the toys.

What do you mean rescan? And on which file since I have two files now.

Edit: Okay, I rescanned Legendary Bouncer and it worked. Weird. But what's so dangerous about it?

It might over write the figure and cause problems with it.

Okay, I understand that it can over write the figure, but how can it damage the toy?

By rescan, he means, you put the skylander you want on the portal and send them into the game. After you're done, you have to put him back on the portal to put the new data on him. So:

1. Put Eruptor on the 3DS portal

2. Play with him and level him up.

3. Put him back on the portal.

Now your skylander has all of the earned data.

You have to do this because, unlike the console version, the skylander does not stay on the portal, so it's not updated as you go along.

I just hope my figures aren't damaged somehow.

Nah, the good thing about the 3DS version is that if there's something wrong with the RFID chip, it's broken, and the console version can't read it, the 3DS version will detect it and reset the figure, good as new.
