Ok...so I'm a little confused on the ownership issues going on with S:G.
Example: Boomer is listed on the S:G screen for which Skylanders you have in your collection but the only way I can get credit is to transfer ownership from Skylanders to S:G? So do I have to constantly transfer ownership each time I want to play a Skylander on different games?
Am I missing something?

Only to have it show up in the games collection that you are playing on. If you just want to play another version of the game or the first game, you do not have to change ownership.

Ok so there's no way to actually just show ownership of one skylander between both games unless you constantly change the ownership between games? Seems quite tedious and a major bug that was over-looked when designing the game....

The system does not recheck ownership. If you register a skylander in S:SA and then in giants it will still show ownership in giants. This principle works even if you chsnging ownership to a friends file.

Ownership should have been reflected to coincide between the two games if they are originally put on the Portal on the same system. It's annoying to us with OCD that want to show ownership of Skylanders in both games and not just whichever is the most current at the time.....

It should have, but the point is that after you get credit for adding the character to your collection is S:SA, it never leaves your save file, even when you change ownership.
The main purpose of ownership is to keep the game from getting confused between your characters and a guest's characters. Guests characters can do everything owned characters can do. They just aren't added to the collection and aren't associated with accolades until it is claimed. It's not that tedious really. Especially since the only thing changing ownership does is reset the nickname. And you should never have to do it more than twice. |
