I have been to about 3 or 4 TRU stores between Maryland and Virginia with no luck finding a Hot Head. I check the site and can't order it, naturally. Is anyone else having this problem? This is the only character I'm having a hard time finding.

When I went to tru the other day they didn't have any out. There was a lady who was opening boxes and only one of them had giants in it and that one only had 2 hot heads. I snagged one. So as of right now he is the hardest to find of the giants. Other than your variants like granite crusher.

I didn't have any trouble at my local TRU, I went in the AM and they had about 20 of them sitting out on a table in electronics!!

Hmmm... that's what's bugging me... some people are finding them easy and others say its rare... guess I will have to keep looking.

i'm sure in a few weeks they will be easier to find nationally!

I hate the people who go 'Yah, I just went into TRU and got 3 of everything in Wave 2, no biggie'

Maybe there were a bunch of Hot Heads there only because people weren't doing that?? idk, i only bought one, but I didn't see anyone else loading up on them when I was there either!! I've heard of ppl seeing that happen, kinda irks me too (boo to scalpers)...!

Doesn't help when I ask the TRU associate in video games if they got any Hot Heads in, and she replies, "we got some Hot Heads about 5 months ago and I haven't seen any since."


Editing to add: I called my TRU again this morning and they said Hot Head isn't until the next wave and that's when they'll get him in. You never know what they'll say.

Unless the TRU employee is into Skylanders, that person isn't going to care. I've found that they don't know about the different waves or what will be released in the wave. And, that's even when TRU sends the email to "guests" letting them know about the big release.

You can't really blame them. It's not like they are getting rich working for TRU. It's a job for a lot of those people, not a career.

Puns aside, everyone I ask except my EB Games know basically nothing about Skylanders, and I still know more than they do.

recently i made them dig for thru their back room for my "Skylander's Giant Castle Carrier with Free Wham-Shell inside" ;3

they didnt know they had it... and all employees working stations kept pointing me to "Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Castle" *sight*

so i went to manager she was happy to help, after talking to her for lil bit she checked the stuff in her stock and found they have 5 in store...

after checking 2 display areas... she had a talk with one of the guys and went into back after 20mins they found a box that was marked "Skylander Giants" >.> that went unoticed and unopened,

Was hoping hot head be in their too but, ;3 it was just the castle carriers with wham-shell so i snaged 1. ;3

I agree that for most it is just a job. Sometimes you will get the "wave off" answer so you'll go away and stop bugging them. It doesn't only happen in TRU.

Soooo weak! My TRU said they aren't expecting the wave 2... in which I think hot head is in.... until january! I'm in norfolk, va BTW. But I got my sprocket and flashwing up in maryland so I guess I can check there again next month.

Thank you! I just called my Gamestop. They said they only got 2 in shipment and only 1 left. I asked if they would hold it, "No,"..payment over the phone? "No." I couldn't leave the house because my kids were having a play date, not to mention my napping 1 yr old.
I called my husband, and by coincidence he decided to come home early and was 100 feet from the Gamestop, so he bought it. Whew!

I am also in the DC area and I can't find Hot Head anywhere. TRU doesn't have him in. GameStop says they got him in today but when I went by they were already all sold out. They said they'd be getting another shipment "probably very soon"..

Exact opposite problem here. Morons at GameStop were holding their only Hot Head for someone who called in. Over a paying customer with a wallet in their faces telling them to please take his money.

i can confirm this as well gamestop gotten their wave 2 today. at least in IL state

I just went to a brand new TRU this afternoon. First day of business. They did a soft opening. Grand opening isn't until next Friday. Got every figure from Wave 1 & 2 on layaway...EXCEPT Hot Head. The store closer to my house is getting a truck tonight. Guess I'll be there at 9am again.
The things I do for may kids...

As I notice exactly how many of each figure they have on the massive displays, I don't think there is going to be a shortage of anyone. At least not for long. In fact, I think the wave 1 lightcore figures may turn out to be this game's Boomer & Wrecking Ball. I can confirm wave 2 figures in Walmart and Gamestop...so much for the TRU exclusive holdback...so I can't believe there is going to be a huge shortage this time. At least not until Black Friday at the earliest. Even then, it may only be for a couple of weeks.

And you think Hot Head is hard to find? Just wait til Thumpback hits shelves...I've heard more people asking about him than any other figures combined.

I was just at GameStop and I was surprised to see that they had all of wave 2 in stock!!

I found a Hothead at GameStop today and a lightcore Jet-vac...so it's def worth the trip or the call!!

My Gamestop has tons of Wave 1 and Wave 2 with the exception of Hot Head of which I got the only one they got in. I have an awesome relationship with my Gamestop, and they actually had been putting new ones back for me for a couple of days. I live in South Florida, Treasure Coast, and we have just had Hurricane Sandy go by, and I live out on an Island so they were awesome enough to hold all my stuff until the storm passed. If you can develop relationship with your Gamestop, especially the manager, you should have no trouble getting anything. Definitely check your local Gamestops because they should have received their shipments over the last few days. I got Sprocket, Flashwing, Flameslinger (Series 2), Sonic Boom (Series 2) and Hot Head. Awesome day. Now to check them out in the 3DS version as that is the one I chose to play first, and will get the Wii version in a couple of weeks. Happy Hunting everyone! Now on to Wave 3...........

As for Gamestop getting wave 2, Mine ,as far as I know, only got 1 Hot Head, which I snagged along with Sprocket and Flashwing. Gotta love being friends with the Gamestop employees

Went to TRU this morning. They had 4 Hot Heads at 9am. Gone in a few minutes.
I got there at 9:30. :/

after toys r us yesterday i gave up on hothead and wave 2. so i went to gamestop to pay off and pick up the battle pack. when i saw they had hot head and the rest of wave 2 i got so excited i got one of each and by the end of it i didnt even have enough money to get the battle pack i preordered. oh well at least it will b there until i can get it
