Question about soul gems on S:G, please answer if you have the game. [CLOSED]

By looking at Dark's walktrough I can say that in skylanders giants there are only soul gems for the new characters, but what about the s1 and s2? do they not need to find the gem anymore? please answer, don't reveal spoilers trolls, or Ill deal with you later.

They don't need to- even non-remodeled Skylanders instantly have Soul Gem upgrades instantly available to buy.
