Who Felt Sorry For Machine Ghost? *SPOILER* [CLOSED]

When
Machine Ghost dies
who felt sorry for him? Here was my reaction as HomerSimpsonity and I played the level.

At first, I thought Machine Ghost possessed the conquertron to break the map, and after the MG cutscene this is how I felt.

Sad (Because I liked him.)
Happy (Because I realized the game is becoming less kiddy, if only a little.)

I'm 24 and I was getting teary eyed for the Machine Ghost. I'm like shouting at my TV "This is a kid's game how do they put this in this game!" Lol

I love Fire Kraken, Grim Creeper, Rip Tide, Trap Shadow, Doom Stone, Slobber Tooth, and Boom Jet. Can't wait for Swap Force.

When I got to that scene, I was rather surprised. I at this point had gotten used to Skylanders being significantly more light-hearted than the Legend of Spyro trilogy - another Spyro reboot I liked a lot - and was expecting a tough game with the same charm that the original had.
But the end of Chapter 6... man, when I saw that for the first time, I felt rather shocked to see something so dark in a game like this.

But that's the thing with Giants in general for me - from Chapter 6 onwards, surprises kept being thrown left, right and center, and it's at that point that the story in general just keeps getting better as it goes on, making it more compelling for me to keep playing.
Though, now I'm wondering what my youngest cousin would be like when he eventually plays it, and he's 9 years old smilie

I was so sad! I felt so bad too! What could have my pop fizz done to block those rocks? WHY DIDN'T I USE CRUSHER?!?! But I beat the game do I kno what happened next smilie

I just came back from my time off to post this:
I cried so much I had to turn off the game and sleep.When I woke back up I still could not play the game cause of what happened.Oh why Machine Ghost why..Lets all beat up Kaos to get revenge on Machine Ghost.

I agree! I love how Skylanders has a lot of depth into it for a kids game, and the fact that it can be pretty ballsy too. I can't wait to see what the next game is going to be like! (Kaos dies maybe? I doubt it though.)

hahahaha Yeah, I totally LOOOOVED the Machine Ghost character!!!! I was really sad when he died, and I'm also in my 20's!!! It would have been cool if he followed you around for a while...

Rip Machine Ghost! Whenever I did those beam puzzles in Level 5, who encouraged me? Not stupid Flynn, or annoying Cali, It was Machine Ghost! I hope he comes back as a skylander! But in his conquer-tron suit so I can pulverize stupid little stealth elf!

You only found him a single level earlier, and then the story decided to throw him under the bus (errr...the rock slide) for the sake of garnering sympathy from the audience. Ergo, it doesn't work if you haven't developed an emotional bond with the character.

He's already a NPC character, hardcore, he isn't going to be a Skylander anytime soon. He's already powerful with his robot body.
