So, we know there's a Rock Whirlwind and a Rock Zook out. But..shouldn't there be a third version? In all the previous variation lines we saw, they each had 3 to their collective group. (Gold, Silver, Ice, or GitD). I know we've also had sightings of GitD Fright Rider, but...I can't see that counting. Would it?

On the other hand, we would have saw other Rock variants go up on ebay after release day. On a gross third hand, there's also only 2 3packs out. Could they be counting the battle pack as well (with the Golden DragonFire Cannon standing in as a "variant"

Thoughts? Also, who would you like to see as a Rock variant? Personally, Terrafin has a perfect pose for a stone sculpture and also fits in with the other 2, being that they're all original game characters.

distribution patterns and habits have changed from S:SA to Giants. With the amount of boxes sold and opened for launch if there was a third stone somebody would have found it. It looks like Zook and Whirlwind were it this time. I find it odd they didn't try to stick a distribution varient in with Giants and LC's.

Honestly, the distribution changed while SA was still going on. You don't see a Translucent Green Whirlwind even though that's what everyone expected to happen(for good reason too).

Nibelilt-

That may not be the best example. WERD and Blue Bash were not distribution packed variants like Rock, Ice, (original)GITD, Gold or Silver. These variants were all randomly distributed by within normal wave casing. In S:SA it was six per case all figures packed 1 per case. Giants has 12 per case with new figures packed 2 per case and S2 1 per case. The odds of getting a Gold or Silver of any kind were estimated to be about 1 to 70 cases. The Ice and GITD variants seem to be closer to 1 in every 18 cases. The rumor had rocks at 1 to 50 case but someone at retail I have talked to says they are guessing closer to 1in 30.

The WERD, BB, L Triggs and even the wal-mart and target exclusive Drills and Whirlwinds were all packed six to a case and thus distributed completely different.

The lack of a Green figure has little to do with distribution habits but does show the company has shown a desire to change their rule of three patterns with variants.
