I had bought the Giants Castle Case with the Wham-Shell inside so my son could have the case, and the Wham-Shell could be for me. I have played and fully upgraded him in the Captain Crustacean path. My son has shown a lot of interest in WS and has said he really wants one for himself. I bought another Castle Case and I've kept it hidden because I'm torn as to whether I should just return it and give him mine. It's $30 and I don't really know if we need 2 WS (well of course we don't need but you get what I'm saying). What would you do in my situation? Return the 2nd one or keep it?

I'd probably return it. You'll find a Wham Shell, I'm pretty sure. I know there's a huge order is SSA toys coming into our Walmart here in the next week or so. I bet they'll dump the warehouse and a lot of the SSA toys that were impossible to find will be flooding the stores.

It comes down to if having a Whamshell that's personally yours is worth it. I would say yes for me but I am not aware of the specifics in your house. I expect WhamShell to be extinct in stores and you will not see another on these te again short of the carrying case. There will be a warehouse dump of all still existing S:SA product but remember that these things were shipped in waves and later waves did not contain WhamShells in them. Also certain series 1 still hhave value on ebay meaning scalpers will look for them one of these is WhamShell. Not only that but you will have an extra case to store figures. |

I'm curious ... Why do adults have their own set of figures? Not figures in the box that they are collecting, but their own separate figs from their kids. I don't get it.

Because sharing isn't always caring? I personally dunno as all of my kids and I share a single set.
The only time there was any remote "dissention in the ranks" was when I reset Gill Grunt once and re-levelled him on the other path to make it much easier to get an XBox cheev - my son was a fan of the original path. But, truth be told, so was I so I did not care if he wanted to reset it again and relevel it on the original path.

Sharing is not always caring... TRUTH! I don't exactly care about someone when I share a flu with them.

What I called "my Wham-Shell" does not mean my kids could not play it in the game, because they do. My son is rough with his toys sometimes and paint can come off, he may misplace his toys etc. With my kids, what's theirs is theirs, and if something got damaged (not saying that they've damaged a Skylander yet-they haven't), then I will not get upset over it. I do not let them bring WS to the park or friends house since it could be lost and WS is so hard to find. That's the only reason I was considering keeping the other one, so my son could have one to do whatever with, whether it be keeping him in his original form in-game with no upgrades (cuz he doesn't like the look of WS all beefed up like he is), or having him "fight" with Iron Man at his friend's house. But anyway, I returned it and "gave" WS to him.
