I think it was really good, but there aren't enough levels and no post game stuff like its predecessor, and it was kinda easy, but that was expected.
Still wish I could have had flashwing when I fought kaos tho

I beat the game the other day mainly with Series 1 Zap and Gnarly tree rex. Now I just have to round up the rest of the trophies.

i finished it last night, and im pretty dissapointed. The levels to me arent really "re playable" like the ones in the first game. I didnt mind re playing levels in spyros adventures 5-6 times more. But these ones I'm going to dread going back through and collecting everything. There seemed to be too much back tracking through the levels for my liking. My bf and i discussed it last night, and he found the same thing.
Not the mention the story line was a bit more stale, and wasnt long enough. which was my same dislike with the first game. |

Beat it last night, I think my total was 35% complete. That final battle is murder with some of those guys ganging up on you.
Wasn't too bad. I don't know if it really had the charm of the first game. I usually spent about double the time for the "time trial" completion when playing a level and I usually only found a handful of things, so It seems like everything is much more hidden this time around. Arguably, the storyline seemed to be a bit more "throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks" than the first one. In SSA, there was a clear goal- finish the Core of Light and stop Kaos which you did by completing each level. With Giants is mostly mini quest things (find this guy, stop here, go there and see what's going on etc) and then at the end it's all "oh yeah, now you have to go stop Kaos because he beat you lol" What I DID like though were the mini bosses. I really enjoyed battling Drill-X (and coincidentally, the Golem in the first game) and I think the game really needed more "Mini-bosses" before reaching the end goal. Certainly someone like Kaos has plenty of big baddies at his disposal to stop or otherwise slow down the good guys.

Got the game on a Sat, finished it on Tues or Wed (only playing off and on). I used LTH throughout the entire game. LTH reached lvl 15 while on the last chapter heading for the final battle. My son used Tree Rex a lot and swapped in other S1/S2/new figures as he felt was necessary (we only had the starter pack figs and cannon pack since this was 7 days before actual game release.) Never had any figure faint at any point, though my son swapped out Tree Rex when he hit ~100 health during the final battle.
With TH/LTH unlimited ammo machine guns, the final battle is cake. Now that I have S2 TH with wow-pow, it will be even easier. The only re-playable chapter so far for us to level up figs is chapter 3 (Rumbletown) that ends with Brock in the arena. If you have three L-O-T experience wheels installed you can level up guys decently fast in this level and low level figs can get 2 levels out of the arena battle easy. An observation that I'd like to make - has anyone else noticed that it seemed to be easy in S:SA to level up figs from 1-10, but in S:G, going from 10-15 seems like it takes VAST amounts of experience and goes pretty slowly? I do like the fact that it now says "Max" when you reach lvl 15 on the exp bar. -VM
