Are Skylanders Giants characters region locked if from USA [CLOSED]

If I rang my aunt who lives in USA to send me Hot head,Sprocket and Flashwing,would they be region locked meaning I couldn't play them on an english console.I know some games are locked if they are foreign so would characters be.I really want them and I know she wouldn't make me pay.Or if my aunties mum came back to England back from her visit would they still work and is their a chance customs could mistake them for something.

I think its extremely unlikely they will be locked but I cannot confirm.

Only thing that region lock i believe is the Games....

but on PS3 you dont have the problem cause all games are region-free

all figures are also region-free i belive otherwise we wouldnt have people from AU/EU/rest of the world ordering from ebay

I can confirm for certain that there are no region locks on the figures. Just on the actual game disc. I personally own and use a WhamShell from Australia and have shipped dozens overseas and never heard anything about compatibility issues. One of the main concepts of te figures is compatibility between systems and regions adding to their game and collectible value.

Im thinking its int their best interest to make it non-region locked. It allows them to make all the characters and portal tech the same universally. It would cost more money for them not too. This pesky risky technology they're using, which is RFID chips and readers, is actually what is bridging this game to be multi-compatible with all consoles. We have that to thank for, otherwise, not only would the figures be region locked, they would be a much more pain in the arse to find.

Trying to region lock the figs would also interfere with the base premise of letting the figs work on any console(/applicable handheld) as consoles region lock in different ways (when they do).

Figs have no region locking.
