Teasing me with all of the new wave 2 figures, singles and triple packs, but not allowing ANY of them to actually be ordered online.
So frustrating! I'm fine with limiting online orders to one of each item per person, to prevent scalping, I'm perfectly willing to pay shipping, etc., and you don't even have to give me the bogo 405 off special pricing either. So why punish me just because I can't get to one of your physical stores?
Seems like the legitimate consumers are the only ones being punished here, if any of the cart stuffing antics, driving to multiple stores, etc. are any indication.

Because Activision.
Quite frankly there isn't a reason for them to release Wave Two so soon either. They make a lot of bad decisions and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they're just trying to make us urinated off, they handled the last game's non-launch releases awfully as well(other than Lightning Rod/Zook). |

I wasn't around for the first launch, so I have no idea how things went. I came in pretty late, when the starter packs started going on sale for about $20 off, so I was lucky that most of the characters were already out and I was able to get them in triple packs to save a little money.
It just frustrates me to see companies treating the customers who shop in different sales channels so differently from each other; perhaps I'm spoiled because the company I work for has the exact same policies for web and physical store sales. It shouldn't matter how folks want to shop, so long as they want to spend money with you. |

Activision does a good job creating confusion, a buzz and panic...that's the recipe for success. Make people crave more. They are pretty genius. My wave 2 run was pretty well coordinated. They had about 16 of the flashwing and only 4 Hothead. That tells me that they created a buzz and demand. People will now WANT them and will come back to get them...feeling like they NEED them. If you want anything bad enough...you have to do the legwork to get it. The guy 1st in line showed up 3 hours early. He deserved first dibs. Limiting product is smart for them. They didn't have to submit any wave 2, but they rewarded the diehard fans with a shot at em...most parents wouldn't care anyways...they'd be happy that they spent 200 on the rest of the stuff...this preview was for the diehard fans like us.
Can't wait to go home and play after work!

Those "bad decisions" allow them to live in golden mansions and fill their olympic-size swimming pools with cash. Their shareholders can only hope they'll make more bad decisions like this.
