Destructoid article on in-depth development of the start of the Skylander series [CLOSED]

Basically, more of the history of the creation of the Skylanders series has been revealed, via an original article of Destructoid. Worth a nice reading. I'm not sure if I should post it in the Spyro General section, or this - so I chose the latter since I've haven't been keeping up with the development of the series in general.

Notice how they say Giants is the first sequel to Skylanders. Those that mean a Skylanders 3 is in the works?

It was mentioned in a Giants video.

In this interview at 4:01, an Activision executive announced that there is already games in the works "for the next few years".
