I wasn't quite satisfied with the original series myself [though don't get me wrong the old school games will always have a place in my heart]. I wanted more out of the Spyro franchise. Like an all star cast, a good story line, cool music [kinda like LOTR/Chronicles of Narnia], and a different form of combat.
Well strangely enough, all those wishes came true when ANB came out [I was so happysmilie]. As the other two games got better and better, the more I became addicted to the series. Until now, I've loved the little purple guy like I never have before. Go smilie!

I've been with Spyro since his 1998 debu (sp?). Those were the best Spyro games ever; no matter who they get to make the game, no future Spyro game will surpass the Insomniac titles in awesomeness. Since YotD, Spyro has suffered through some terrible titles; I almost gave up on him after EtD. However AHT was an excellent comeback; very similar to the originals. All in all though the LoS series has definitely rekindled my love of Spyro.

Yeah, I have been with Spyro from the very first game up til' now, my fave game was the original Spyro the Dragon, but I must say that he has come quite a long way! I sincerely hope that no gaming company ever ruins Spyro, kinda like ETD, because EtD kinda destroyed Spyro, but AHT brought Spyro back! I can't imagine Spyro being Green, like he was supposed to be. They would've had to change the TLoS story so much if Spyro was green!

Spyro the Dragon was my first video game on the ps1 smilie i ave all console spyros except for AHT, i dont like that game.

I'm a Spyro fan till the end, if after they started making the legend of spyro, I still like him with or without the changes of his appearance. I mean, if there weren't a LoS series, then there wouldn't be Cynder, Ignitus, the Dark Master, or the other Guardians and characters in the series.

i just wonder if they will make any more spyro games after DotD? they said AHT was the last then boom, ANB comes out.

Well, these series gave me more inspiration to Spyro. I used to like Crash better than Spyro, but all that changed thanks to TLoS!!! smilie

Yeah, I like all of the games though... if it's Spyro, I like it smilie but, TLoS series got me back into the Spyro games, cuz i hadn't played one in a few years until i got ANB.
