Did anyone else have trouble finding stuff today?

First Walmart - Went in and the section was completely empty. There was three of us waiting and the guy walks out with a few portal owner 3DS packs. We said no we were all looking for the starter packs and figures. He comes back out with 2 copies for Xbox and 1 PS3. I was nice and let the other two have the Xbox and told him I would take a 3DS version. So he goes in the back again and says they didn't get any. They also didn't get a single new figure in for Giants (no singles, lightcore, giants, 3 packs NOTHING).

Second Walmart - I called them last night and they told me flat out nothing would be sold till 8 AM. Lady this morning at first Walmart told me they did put them out but didn't get much at all. Like 2 games and 1 box of singles. I went over there and the section was completely empty of figures and games.

Target - Walked in and all they had was one box of singles and portal owner packs. We had to ask about it and they brought out two boxes of Granite Crusher and a box of Xbox starter packs (they didn't get any for 3DS). No lightcore, giants or 3 packs.

Walmart Three - Had a bunch of all the figures, a couple Xbox starter packs and 1 PS3 starter pack none for 3DS.

Toys R Us - They seemed to be the only store that was fully stocked for today. They had a HUGE display set up plus the original section in the video games full of figures. I only saw 1 3DS starter pack but they had a few of the others.

Walmart Four - Seemed to have a bit of the figures in stock but had no starter packs on display. I had to ask and I finally found the Walmart exclusive 3DS version. She told me they only got four of them in.

The Target I went to only had Granite Crusher, Crusher, Swarm, and Bouncer as well as the 3DS, Wii, and Xbox 360 starter packs. The weird thig was there was a bunch of Spyro's Adventure figs. I was also there when the store opened.

My Walmart had a huge display.

I was able to buy this.




No chill single packs though and I couldn't buy the 3 pack...

I'll get sprocket and flashwing later on in the week.

Good supply everywhere here in Wisconsin city of about 50k. Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Shopko all had tons. Best Buy had OODLES of them. I will say that Target had very few Granite Crushers. I think about 15 total in our store and they sold about half that right when they opened. Otherwise, had everything.

The retailers are the ones the failed here not the distribution. Activision got the game and the figures distributed properly but the retailers were too lazy (sunday release??) to sort it out.

Walmart Supercenter: Talked to the manager a couple days back said the toys will be out when they open @ 6 AM. I talked to a lady that was looking for the figs at target and she said she was at the opening of that store but the person in charge had them but would not bring them out unless the manager was there. The manager had the weekend of so go figure.

Target 1: Came at 8 AM and nothing on display not even the game (Cmon!). The guy had to go back and could only find 1 type of triple pack and exclusive crusher and the game. He said he did not know where the singles are. He said come back tonight or tomorrow. Bought 2 target exclusives and was off to ToysRUs.

Target 2: A guy I talked too @ TRU said a group of people were looking for it but same scenario at Target #1. The guy had to find it at the back and he had trouble finding the singles.

Walmart: Went to a 24/hr one @ midnight and got most of my haul from the 24/hr store. They did not have (the cashier did NOT want to look for it) the light core figures but it was a good haul.

ToyRUs:They had a massive inventory. No sign of wave 2 but the shelves were full and plenty to go around. They said they were expecting a bigger line but only 20 people were in line for it.

It was pretty disappointing for the other stores not to have the merch on display. I mean they should have known better after the frequently calls last year for the figures that people would be looking for this again. The scenario @ walmart supercenter was weird. I'm mean the item has a street date and they could not put it on. I guess they don't want their customer's money too.

I..surprisingly didn't but I can report on what I did see:

TRU: Got there as they opened. That HUGE display in the front was plenty for everyone there. Everybody was totally courteous with each other, helping each other getting things off higher pegs. It was wonderful.

Target: Got there about 10-12 minutes after opening. In the back they seemed to have a good number of Giants and figures left, although not many of the Granite Crushers. Mine happened to have a few of the Wave 2 guys already so that was neat, but they were mostly gone.

Walmart: had the worst selection because they put them out at midnight. Everything was picked over, and there was no giants or new guys. Just a handful of Wave 1 S2 characters.

K-Mart: Had...NOTHING. Not even the giants starter packs. Wtf, Kmart?

Gamestop: Got there about 10 minutes after they opened at 11. They had a small selection of characters behind the counter (pretty much all of Wave 1, the giants) Oddly, they had the REGULAR Battle Pack out, along with the other 3 packs. Under the counter was where they held the Golden versions. Why they got both I haven't the slightest clue.
