Trying to Save Money - No Longer a Need for Duplicate Characters? [CLOSED]

In the original game, I ended up getting a few duplicate characters because I wanted to fully experience every one, and I didn't like having to choose upgrade paths.

In Giants, however, I understand that I don't need duplicates, because series 2 characters can change upgrade paths/special powers at any time. Is this correct?

I'm trying to plan what to order from TRU--if certain characters are available in a triple pack, I don't need the singles, and if I get the Legendary Triple Pack, I don't need the Single Ignitor, Slam Bam, etc., correct?

Please help me make the right decision & save as much money as I can.

Series Two characters can, though it's worth noting new characters and Giants can't.

Yep, that's right. Series 2 characters can swap paths, but only through Persephone on Cap'n Flynn's Ship.

So the regular series 2 characters can, but not the Giants? SIGH. I'm definitely not buying two of each Giant.
